  1. At least this team admitted it added black trim as an excuse for a terrible black alternate (unlike the Jets)
  2. It seems like 90% of uniform unveils these days feature a monochrome home uniform, a monochrome pajama white uniform, and an all-black alternate (even when black isn't even part of the color scheme). Are they even leaving open the possibility of mixing and matching? Doesn't seem like it. No more white over burgundy? Ridiculous.
  3. It's all fun and games until we realize half the teams that utilize another helmet will do it for some monochromatic, Color Rush style Arena League look rather than a classic Throwback.
  4. Something tells me we are entering a very awkward transitional period where all the vets will be wearing the proper jersey numbers for their position, but all the rookies will be running around in single digits and weird looking numbers. It will slowly shift into full chaos as more rookies enter the league and guys join new teams and don't have to make up for the lost revenue. Oh and did I mention that I hate it and view as another pointless rule change this league insists on coming up with year after year when there was nothing wrong with how things were before?
  5. Not sure I'd trust an exhibit like that as an indication of what is or isn't a team's primary uniform. We've seen teams use alternate uniforms for these kinds of things before. Besides, the Browns already favored the orange pants at home last season (5:3 split), so I would still expect a pretty even split between white and orange pants with the brown jersey this season.
  6. The Chargers had the issue of non-matching home and road uniforms in 2019, but they fixed it this past season. The Broncos have had this issue since 2012 and refuse to address it, which is another reason why they need to update their uniforms. And now we'll have the Jaguars in teal full-time, but they'll likely still wear white on black for most road games with minimal teal present. I think the only team that pulls this off well is the Giants.
  7. The current Broncos don't appear to be having any luck with that look since Manning retired and their defense fell apart. I wouldn't put either of those teams in the same category as the Broncos, especially not Pittsburgh.
  8. It's getting dangerously close to free agency/draft season with only the Bengals confirmed to be updating their uniforms at this point. How can teams like the Cardinals and Broncos still be content with wearing the same outdated garbage year after year for the past couple of decades? I pray that one of these teams announces something in the coming weeks.
  9. The AFC South just got a bit more visually appealing. The Titans need be next and ditch the navy (again). Them and Houston are still way too similar. Regarding the Jags, I'm hoping this inspires yet another rebrand in 2023. Their set is still boring and the road look lacks teal. There's just not much cohesiveness between teal over white and white over black with no truly visible teal elements. I'm wondering how much they'll wear white and black at home now. Hopefully this will minimize white at home and will give us something like (realistically) 1 white, 5 teal, 2 black jersey games. Really hope they wear teal for the San Fran game this season. That will look outstanding.
