You can hate the Astros all you want, but going to four World Series in six years is some Patriots/Yankees level of dominance that's pretty impressive.

Man, got hot in the first couple weeks, but the last three have dragged me down the depths of the lower tier. And yet, I'm only like eight wins back of the leader. Go figure.

Dang, two bad weeks in a row and I'm down in the bottom third. Thought I had it figured out this year, but alas, such is life. Onward and upward!

Man, that was a big load of crud to see when checking out the thread this week. And yet, only four games out of the lead. Who would've thought?

This is the tough thing about the pick'em league. When you're trailing a few weeks in, you got to take some risks that go against the grain cause you've got to make up the ground. Only four games out right now, so let's see if we can close some of that gap.

Bucs are still the Bucs. Just dreadful in prime time.
Joe Burrow isn’t healthy and it’s showing.
Still football, though!
Honestly, Baker has seemed pretty decent up to this point and the defense has been a solid mid-to-upper tier product so far. I said with the upside, they could be 9-8 or 10-7 and win the division and I'm sticking to it. But when you see them play a team like Philly, who I hate because of the obstacle they were from 2000-2002, you get reminded of just how far they have to climb back to championship contention.

I know that the state of the White Sox makes many of us who root for them want to shoot ourselves, but this is a little much.

I think this is the first time in a while were both LCS series were decided in five games or less. I'm lazy to look up when the last time that happened was, but I'm sure it's been a hot minute.

Goddamn it, I missed it again. I totally thought I put in for last week. Oh well, not like I'm close to winning this anyways.

Fortunately, Tampa Bay has found a way to get back to the meddling, inefficient play that they had before The Goat sacrificed his marriage to be there. For an upper echelon team, they sure know how to not win.

Yea, that was a bullcrap play to win a game on, but alas, you can always argue that Atlanta shouldn't have been in that position in the first place. Anytime you want to blame referees for a game, you need to remember the team could've been set up better to begin with.

Damn it, I missed last week's. Didn't even catch it until Sunday morning when the Vikings were playing and I was running around a bunch so I couldn't get the picks in. Oh well, onto the next one.

so, they've never made the postseason in consecutive legitimate season, then.
I'm not going to argue over legitimate seasons. My point about lamenting their ineptitude still stands.

I hate this current White Sox. The first time in team history that they get to the postseason in consecutive seasons and this team with supposed WS aspirations can't beat the lowly Diamondbacks. The only way I see the American League counterpart getting out of this mess is if the Reinsdorf family has been found to be paying hush money for years or did some other unspeakable inhuman thing.
Oh who am I kidding? This team would still be screwed in some inconceivable way.
-
I'm not happy that Lehner is having surgery, but I also don't like Vegas, so if it makes their road a little harder to journey, I'm all for it.

Burns goes to Carolina. Kinda sad to see him go after a decade, but if I'm thinking with my head, as I should, his best hockey has been behind him for a while now.
Now if we could just get someone to bite on either Karlsson's or Vlasic's bad contract, now we'd be cooking with gas.

Got to give Unocal credit though. He has convictions and he's sticking with them. Not that I care for them much, but I just ignore him and move on. You can only belabor a point for so long in a public forum before even sympathizers and open-minded people get tired of it.
Also, I get all the Astros hate in my response the other day, but considering how often they've been in the running the last decade, it's still an impressive feat. Any fanbase would kill for those opportunities and the funny thing is, they likely didn't need to cheat to win a title or two along the way. Oh well, it is what it is.
I don't really care for Texas much, so I'll be rooting for Arizona, but the Rangers seem to be a team of destiny. Plus after a back-breaking loss in 2011 (one of the most painful losses for a title I can recall), they're due for a moment in the sun. Let the dice fall where it may.
