Promising, but if you have to go to Canada to learn what the NHL is about, I don't think they're right there just yet.
-
In the 2012-13 ECHL regular season, the Wranglers filled up about 59% of the arena, if you want a statistical outlook on things.
Yeah, but that number would probably go up for an NHL game. Very few people [sorry] really care about the ECHL. 59% in the south is a really good number.

But just think of the new style of dressing rooms the players would be begging to join the team for
And the intermission shows. My god, who WOULDN'T want a team there

That would be awesome. Find a lake in rural Minnesota (no great feat) and set up some temporary bleachers. Unforgettable scene.
Set up bleachers on the riverbank, play hockey on the Red in Winnipeg in February. Boom. Done.
What, on an ice surface 10 feet wide?

Well, the entirety of the Premier League is absent from the page.

I guess I'm the only one that kinda likes these current Jaguars uniforms better than what they had from '09-'12........but I do, especially the teal numerals. And I can't wait to see the black unis in action soon.
The uniforms actually aren't bad and IMO the logo is a massive upgrade, but the helmet is too fugly for words.

So what happened to seeing who likes your posts? It was interesting.
And ego-boosting.
If you have email notifications, you can still see, or you can check under "Liked Content" (or whatever it says) on your profile.
It got screwed up at the same time as the quotes, so I'm guessing that neither are coming back any time soon.
Has anyone heard in lieu of that if there's a chance that they'll come back before the next "system upgrade" or soon, or at all?

^that was my exact same question word for word about a year ago
And Mr.Nascar, all my profile pictures have been .png, so that's not the problem. Are you sure the file SIZE is under 100 kb?

Any of the Flames jerseys with black in them suck. Even pre-Edge.
This is how they should look.
They need some black.
OK done.
-
I liked those Flyers sweaters better than their current ones - just wish the home sweater was orange instead of black.
Make the black near the cuffs, and the white near the collar on the home sweater, and you have a nice set there.

I actually liked this EDGE template.
Don't get me wrong, I love what Philly is wearing now, and I can't really justify why I like this template, but I just do.
I concur, it looked great for Lake Erie, and with hem stripes instead of piping/nothing, it could have been a great template.

I am seeing some still, I think just as long as the file size is under 100kb

His account was activate over three years ago, pretty long for 30 posts. Could it have timed out at all?

Anyone for a starting bid? I just pulled 38 cents CAD out of my pocket.

Today's the deadline, right? So what's going on here?

That hurts.
I like it
Shaddup
Also for non-suscribers:
, yay? and crud.
all fouls nonetheless, and they do it every year.

It leaves room though for relocation inside Arizona, because I'm pretty sure Bettman won't let them leave.
-
I will say this. If the NHL goes to Seattle, it is imperative for the league to get control of a hypothetical new arena and then absolutely refuse to give a lease to an NBA team. A Sonics revival is not in its best interests.
They'll be run out of the city by year 3 in that case.
-
It will never come back to Atlanta
-
Meh. It just turned 1995 in Ontario.
Well, its A '95 in Ottawa, but not that one.
-
How about London On. AND London UK.
Just to make the tens of people who care about hockey in the UK happy and to avoid confusion with the less geographically inclined of us.

We need a Zod-like finish to this, where we put the franchise into some infinite space-traveling shard, ne'er to be seen or discussed again.
Saskatoon?

Your Favorite Teams?
in Sports In General
Posted
It's not a terrible thing this has been bumped, it's still relevant. It's just really annoying when a concept/request thread or an event-centred thread gets bumped.
Might as well explain the motive behind my madness:
Ottawa Senators: My favourite of all favourite teams, growing up and living in the city, they were always going to turn out to be a favourite of mine. Oddly enough when I was younger, I was a true Canadiens fan; but grew out of that around the lockout era. I've been a devout fan ever since. Until this season
Everton: Slightly more complicated story here. I started playing soccer when I was young, but only really started watching soccer at the 2006 world cup. Even after that I was never immersed in soccer that much, as where I live it's not popular at all. My first soccer video game was FIFA 08 and when I started playing that, I decided to pick a team. That team wasn't Everton, it was Chelsea. A team that I gravitated towards already through headlines and news about them winning championships and just being good. Not being from England, I felt no shame in cheering for a team just because they were good. So, as my feelings for soccer grew, I continued cheering for Chelsea. I really enjoyed it when they won the Champions league. But I always had some teams that I respected alongside Chelsea, that would almost take a #2 spot. One, obviously being Everton. So at the start of this season, when I truly immersed myself into the sport, I found myself tending to go for the underdog, I also liked Everton's style of play and their players. So after a few months, my feelings towards the two sides had flipped. I found myself cheering for Everton, while I still respected Chelsea, but also felt like I was cheering for them even though I didn't know anything about them for so long.
Toronto Blue Jays: I don't like to talk about this.
Chicago Bears: I can't really put a finger on why I like them, they were just a team that I gravitated towards that wasn't the Bills, Browns or Patriots. I'd say that they're the #2 or 3 team in Ottawa though, so I'm not alone in any sorts for cheering for them.
Saskatchewan Roughriders: Well, there's the whole name connection with Ottawa's old team, also, I just hate the Allouettes.
I also try to cheer for one FIFA team from each continental association, since Canada sucks and I need options. They are: Canada, Ecuador, Belgium, Ghana, Australia, and New Zealand. I'm not going to go into detail into all of them, but besides Ghana, they all have a connection to me and are where some of my friends live.
