the drop shadow was horribly off and inaccurate, regardless of color. no video effect is going to make the drop shadow go the wrong direction.

Same for Chelios, Belfour, Amonte, and Keith Carney. Though that might have alot to do with first discovering said players on NHL 95

cheli, to me, is just as much a red wing as a blackhawk... belfour is just as much a star as a blackhawk too (partially because i'm a stars fan, but also because he won his only cup in dallas)... but i agree with amonte.

i'm absolutely thrilled that the pelicans are going to be the death of the "fleur-de-bee." first of all, it's a hideous logo. secondly, it's incredibly forced. thirdly, a BEE is not a hornet. different animal. so i'm glad that nickname is going to be less prevalent too.

bonus points for this also potentially ending the whole "give the jazz back to new orleans, and makes the hornets play in utah. it's the BEEHIVE STATE!"

I guess I just wonder, if someone came up to you while you were wearing it and asked you if it was real or fake, would you admit it was or would you try and say it was an authentic?

again, playing devil's advocate here... i totally see both sides of the argument, but i do own a few chinese knockoffs that i wear regularly (i argue that there are some DAMN good fakes out there. they just take some work to find).

but i've had someone walk up to me about my mike ribeiro dallas stars knockoff and my vince young titans knockoff... they both said "wow, that looks nice. is that an authentic?" and both times i was totally honest. i said "no, it's actually a chinese knockoff from ebay. hard to believe, isn't it? most knockoffs are horrible. for $50, i couldn't pass it up."

i didn't feel ashamed. i didn't feel belittled. i didn't feel like they reacted negatively to the news.

like i've said in this thread a million times... i will not talk bad about people who choose to buy them, and i will not talk bad about people who refuse to buy them. i see both sides. i'm a law abiding citizen that actually works in law enforcement as a full-time job. i don't buy exclusively knock-offs, and i don't generally go out seeking knock-offs. but if i end up with one, and it doesn't look embarrassingly cheap, i'm going to wear it. and i'm not going to lose sleep over it.

i think both sides of this debate take it a little too seriously, and are a little too quick to make assumptions and judgments on the other side. that's just my opinion.

i actually enjoy when this thread involves posting hilariously awful looking counterfeits that have major details wrong. it's funny. it's entertaining. i also don't mind when people ask if others think the links posted are legit or fake. most of us here can tell easily, so it's useful. what bugs me is the running argument that has been going on forever in this thread. it does nothing positive to further the debate or change anyone's mind. it's useless and obnoxious to sift through.

honestly, i know it's not a popular thing to admit, but i've got a keith bulluck and a vince young titans jersey, both from china. both look about a million times better than any of the nike fakes i'm seeing for the titans this year.

I agree... that looks like a pretty solid knockoff to me. its not trying to look like a nike replica. its trying to look like an eagles jersey. and the eagles dont use a nike template, so i dont hold that against them.

the new york rangers liberty jersey isn't that great.... the logo is sorta crappy, and the navy blue and grey don't fit in with the rangers identity at all.

i was never too fond of any of the black sweaters they wore in that era, but the white jersey is absolutely gorgeous and flawless. i almost bought a kasparaitis one a few years back, despite my intense hatred of that franchise. that's how much i love that sweater (and kaspar).

i especially think navy/black pants look great with white jerseys. if the white sox wore black pants with knee-high white sox, with either their black or white jerseys, they'd be one of the sharpest looking teams in sports.

i think softball style colored pants actually look really good, and could probably be pulled off by major league baseball teams even today.

i, on the other hand, think this is as close to perfect as they've ever been. if they cleaned up the "rules" of what does and doesn't have a white outline on there, it would be perfection.

i'd just drop white entirely, and go with purple/yellow in the same way sweden traditionally uses blue/yellow.

it's obvious that the kings are going to be gretkzy/cup colored from now on... so my unpopular opinion is that the anaheim ducks need to reclaim eggplant as their primary color. the kings really should be purple and gold, but if they don't want it, the ducks should be the purple team in socal.
