A lot of these "the NFL has abolished snow games!" alarmists don't know exactly how much snowfall six feet is and how it can affect the surrounding area.

There will be more typical snowfalls, and more snow games for Bills Mafia to enjoy...when one of them comes along next month, you'll forget all about this.

It's like the difference between playing in the rain and playing in a hurricane. Clearing the stadium is a massive manpower operation; all that snow has to actually GO somewhere.  People need to be able to get to the stadium to do it. Every flight in and out of town is cancelled. There's a driving ban in most towns in the county. I think the stadium area got hit even harder in this first round then it was supposed to, so moving the game turned out to definitely be the right call.

I had never heard of the guy so I DID MY OWN RESEARCH (lol) and read up on the stuff from when he was 14.  The kid he assaulted tested positive for HIV as a result of one of the pranks?  If that's true, then despite his age, how did he not face serious charges?  I know HIV isn't the death sentence it was 40 years ago, but if the victim were to eventually die of something related to the HIV, could Miller be retroactively charged with murder?

Note - this article is a little confusing in that it says that the victim "tested for HIV" - not "tested positive for HIV" - so I'm not sure what exactly it's saying (if it's not positive, why mention it at all?)

Boston Globe said the victim tested negative for everything:

"Part of that bullying included wiping a candy push pop in a urinal and tricking Meyer-Crothers into consuming it. The victim reportedly had tests for hepatitis, STDs, and HIV, which came back negative."

  3. Well, the Bills aren't quite Death Star Terminators. Josh Allen hasn't been himself the last couple of games, and the run defense IMO has been revealed as a mirage. I think the TV commentators said the Bills were 4th in rushing yards against, but the Packers and Jets seemed like they were running free. I think their stats were skewed with most opponents playing in catch-up mode. They're still good, but they've got some stuff to work on

In hindsight, the Ravens should have kicked the FG.

I look at it kind of like one of those "extra point to force overtime vs. two points to win" decisions. It puts more scrutiny on the coach, even if statistically it's the same or even better. Harbaugh was scared of the Bills' offense... and he was absolutely right to be. 2.5 minutes of game time later, and the announcers were already talking about how the Ravens should let the Bills score so they would at least get the ball back. And their 4th-and-5 came soooo close to working. If Lamar Jackson sees that receiver a little earlier or if Jordan Poyer doesn't make the defensive play of the game right there, they had 6.

  5. What a nightmare to have in the locker room. He's not an incel... he obviously got off on the power imbalance with the masseuses. Now, he's being mandated to use team personnel who will know their team's MVP-level QB will be out of the game if they report anything inappropriate. You need like three unrelated observers following him at all times.

After all the speculation that he just wanted to go home, Gaudreau decides to go play for a team that did 30 points worse than the team he just left, who's won a playoff series in their entire existence, for less money, and in the end he didn't even go home???

(Jackets away games next season are gonna be fun to watch, though; he's gonna have Flames, Devils, maybe Flyers and Islanders fans all booing him out of their rinks!)

Wouldn't really be able to tell unless we knew what other offers were actually on the table. He's in the same country and time zone as his family now, so it's still an improvement.

For those who don't subscribe to The Athletic, he essentially debunks all the theories for why it's gone on this long and concludes that's it's likely some sort of combination of factors.

This poll is a good indicator that this whole narrative is more important to the media than it actually is to Canadian hockey fans.

Bearing in mind it's just a randomTwitter poll, but showing that over 1/3 of people actually DO care is not a nothing result.

What owner in their right minds would buy the team and agree to that? No one in Arizona wants the team. No new owner from elsewhere will buy the team with the thought of keeping them there. And the city can’t keep the current owners from selling to who ever they want.

Nobody wants the team, but someone will probably want the gambling rights that come with the team.
