STANFORD CARDINAL
DESIGN
HELMET
JERSEY
- Removed the black number outline
PANTS
- White pants
- Added a stripe that matches the helmet
SOCKS
- White socks with cardinal accents
Up next will be Miami (FL). Thanks for looking and as always C&C is greatly appreciated!
Once again, this is exactly what Stanford should be wearing. Love that you didn't include the black alternates, the rest of Stanford sports go too crazy with wearing black.
Idk why they added the black number outlines in the first place, it ruined their entire look.

This doesn't answer my question at all because it just comes off as you being annoyed that there's a successful hockey team in Las Vegas
I think it's obvious that baseball is the sport I think will fail in Vegas. I could care less about the successful hockey team that didn't even make the playoffs last year, they'll be fine since they were the first ones there.

ACC becomes first P5 to officially nix divisions
Pac-12 actually was the first to get rid of divisions and it starts this season, the conference championship will be the two teams with the best records and the scheduling will change I think in 2023. The Mountain West also announced they are getting rid of divisions for 2023. The ACC is just the first to announce the actual new scheduling that's not divisions.

Nobody in modern baseball is ever going to permanently move to a renovated Minor League Stadium.
I'm thinking a renovation that's basically a new stadium. like they just keep the lower bowl or something.
5 hours ago, ManillaToad said:Why do people dislike Las Vegas so much when it comes to sports?
Because every league is looking to move there. One them isn't going to work out, and it isn't gonna be the NBA or NFL.

Bowling Green would dominate this B1G.

I want to believe that if the A’s end up moving, it won’t be Las Vegas—either the aforementioned Portland or Salt Lake—but given that MLB has waived the relocation fee to Las Vegas (or is it anywhere?), it’s obvious that Las Vegas is the preferred destination.I think Sacramento would be another great option if they can renovate the existing Triple-A stadium. Keeps them in Northern California too.

Vegas could soon have NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, and MLS. That seems insane to me for that size of market. AT LEAST one of those teams isn't going to work out, probably MLS but if I'm MLB I'd think twice before I built a billion dollar retractable roofed stadium there. Portland has great summers and Oregonians have a history of great fan support in every sport, plus the only competition is NBA and MLS not every sport PLUS casinos, concerts, etc.

College: Oregon State (alma mater) and Fresno State (hometown)
MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers
NBA: Portland Trail Blazers (due to going to college in Oregon, didn't have a NBA team before that)
NFL: Los Angeles Rams (became a fan when they moved back from St Louis, didn't have an NFL team before)
NHL: Los Angeles Kings
MLS: Los Angeles Galaxy

I still don't get the league's growing fascination with plain black and white. I mean, I liked the Heat's Blackout and White Hot alternates back in the day. And the Clippers' Mister Cartoon alternates have grown on me too, although those have some subtle traces of color that enhance the look. But with Utah's disastrous rebrand, Memphis' leaked City uniforms for next season, some of the Warriors' alternates over the years, etc., it's getting to be too much.
Was the Nets' rebrand really that influential? I've always found their standard uniforms to be dull as hell - not ugly per se, but more just void of any personality or fun, the NBA equivalent of this:
The Nets weren't selling a lot of merchandise until recently, and even then, people are only buying it because they've had big names like KD, Kyrie and Harden, not because they love the White Label Beer aesthetic so much. So if teams like the Jazz are doing this because they think it will boost sales in any way that isn't short-term at best, they're nuts.
I've always liked the Nets rebrand. The black/white and the simplicity just fits for them, probably because I viewed the rebrand as a stale boring franchise reinventing itself by moving to a cool new arena in an interesting location with a fresh identity that wanted to look timeless rather than flashy like what was the trend at the time.
Although I wouldn't mind a different word mark or striping. They definitely need to go back to the old court with the subway tile baselines, that court was sweet. I'd like to see a Dodger blue alternate too.

Not a fan of the new Nike template. I was thinking about buying the new USA jersey if it looked good but I don't think that template will translate well to casual wear. Maybe it's just the way that Portugal leak looks.

Chicago not bidding was a huge disappointment and really screwed the Midwest. Boston seems like an odd choice too given that the stadium isn't really in an urban area like the other stadiums outside their main cities, besides Kansas City I guess.
I kind of wish this World Cup was hosted solely by the United States so more cities could have games, even though I do think it's cool we're hosting with Canada and Mexico. Here's the cities I'd go with if only the US was hosting and it was a perfect world where Dan Snyder wasn't the owner of the Commanders.
Atlanta
Chicago
Cincinnati
Dallas
Denver
Houston
Kansas City
Los Angeles
Miami
New York
Philadelphia (thought about Las Vegas instead and maybe Minneapolis if their stadium wasn't a dome, went with the larger population though)
Phoenix
San Francisco
Seattle
Tampa (or Orlando, doesn't really matter I guess just figured that Tampa's stadium is better)
Washington (new stadium at the RFK site)

I would just pick one look and go with that, instead of basically having two different identities for one team.

The Fresno Grizzlies are mixing up their different uniforms this year.
White jersey with white pants
Red jersey with red pants
When these uniforms were unveiled, the white jersey was only paired with the red pants and red jersey only with the white pants. I hope they rebrand again soon, preferably back to purple and black or even to the Taco's full time at this point. I hate the California flag theme, feels like something a Sacramento team should be wearing.

The Jazz should of just changed their name too if they wanted to make this drastic of a change. Buy the Salt Lake City Bee's nickname off the Triple-A team.

The move to just purple and white for the standard home and away uniforms looks good, but I like the purple helmet with the black face mask and black over purple uniforms the best though.

Yeah I agree, need the yellow beak. I would go no logo on the pants too.
Other than that though it looks great. I like Louisville with a more modern look, even though I feel like the popular opinion on here would be to go back to the Bridgewater uniforms.

No. A thousand times no. Fundamentally no.
The best name is California Angels. (And, no, that does not imply that the Angels are the only team in the state, any more than a city name implies that a given team is the only team in that city.)
The next best choice is Los Angeles Angels, which was the team's original name, and was a longstanding name in the PCL.The name Anaheim Angels is terrible, and is unfit for Major League Baseball. It should never have happened, and should certainly never return.
Disagree there. California should never been used for a professional sports team name here, same with the Golden State name.
1) Los Angeles
2) Anaheim
Those are the only two options.

I assume by branding the poster means more money. I am not sure.
But Anaheim Angels sounds better than Los Angeles Angels.
And Angeles means angels..... so it's Angels Angels.... great!
And LA already have a team. People in LA are Dodger fans.
So what exactly are they doing, how can this help the team in any way?
Los Angeles Angels is better than Anaheim Angels.
The Los Angeles MSA includes Orange County. I see no problem with the Angels using Los Angeles, there's more than enough people in the MSA and the greater Los Angeles area to share the with the name with the Dodgers.
