It's an odd quirk of design with one-color marks on items alongside multi-color logos. Do you go with the most prominent color in the logo, or the outtermost, since that's what was chosen to sit on the background color? The white maker's mark was what Majestic also went with at least from the late 00's on. Similar things play out on caps (Minnesota, Boston, Seattle, Colorado).
Russell and Rawlings both went with blue and, while it is a better and more fitting choice, it's also hard to see. That alone is probably why Majestic, Nike and New Era on the hats went with white.

Oilers flip-flopping between royal blue and navy is getting on my nerves.

I'm assuming the SCF patch will look like this,
which I don't mind at all. It's very clean and reminds me of the old NBA Finals patch when it was just the trophy opposite side of the logo.

How to do a boring logo. I would have used the baseball, the NY skyline, removed the "Mets", and inserted "60th" and then along the bridge crossbeam: Anniversary
They already did that during the 50th Anniversary.

That's...not a great look for your reveal if people immediately spot a color-matching flaw.
eww. That's gonna be an eye sore of an otherwise fine and classy uniform.

Yeah, I get it. It just sucks. Men at least have the option of buying an authentic...
A friend at Adidas (not in the soccer department) actually explained it to me that when they decide to create levels in the product line (like replica/authentic) they need to save some things out for the authentic to entice folks to pay more for it. The patterned collar is not any more expensive or complicated to make. It could easily be included on a replica kit, without impacting Adidas' bottom line. But if they did that, they'd be giving customers less of a reason to buy the more expensive authentic version. People don't pay extra for things they can't see (like fabric cut or collar slogans or jock tags or whatever). So I get why replicas look the way they do.
But knowing that, makes it all the more ridiculous that they choose not to include the correct collar and basic design elements on women's and kids' kits. Don't make the pattern on the collar a focal point of the design if you're going to not include it in the retail versions of your product.
Interesting. So why do they cut elements on MLS kits but not a team from any other league?

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the NBC MLB scorebugs continuous during the last 2 seasons? If that's the case, then it is weird they kept the pop in bug as long as they did for NBA.

I've never seen a league so obsessed with saving a franchise in a market that's clearly not working. This is an embarrassment to the franchise and to the league. They should not be this proud moving into a community center.

Is there really anywhere in NYC proper that the team can build a soccer specific stadium?
If there is, the biggest problem would be the lack of transportation.
An example is in College Point. There's a big lot where an airport used to be. Its been abandoned for decades and no one seems to know what to do with it. However, trains don't go through that area at all so that might pose a problem.
Willets Point really is the only realistic option. If that falls through again, this team is playing without a real home for a long long time.

Mets 60th Anniversary logo. Completely crossed my mind 2022 is suppose to be their 60th season.

I thought that last year was going to be the first year for the new template, but everything got pushed back by a season because the world got sick, so this year would be it. What's weird is that I thought there were some photos taken that showed a couple one-offs of the new template (for some reason I'm thinking the Royals were one) but then when the Royals rolled out their updates, it was on the old (current) template.
TL;DR,
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It was the Royals. That was a weird quiet rollout and they were never seen again. Makes me wonder if that was a mistake.

That DC logo was terrible. The Curly W should be the only cap logo the Nats need.
