  1. Try cayenne pepper instead. Salt's too generous. And Infrared, I do contribute to the convo....my contribution is not making posts that look, or feel, like blind romanticism with teams outside of Canada. I prefer to look reality right in it's ugly face, and call it out when I think it's being stupid. I'd like a lot more fans out there to not have blinders on when addressing people like Bettman, and the ones who are inside the U.S. NHL clubs. Kissing a** is not the thing anyone should do to them. Kicking it is. And not letting them get off without someone taking them to task when I think they're up to no good(which is constantly). Sad to say, but that's true. =P
  2. You had no business even talking about that piece of crap Pickton anyway. In you talking about him, I wash my hands of it. Because I can see through a lot, and you bringing him up was a rather stupid deflection. I eat deflection for breakfast, for the record. =P
  3. Why? The Cup is not in Montreal's possession, where it should be. I mean, if the Habs are supposed to be hockey's true holy figures, then shouldn't they be like the Prophets, from the TV show 'Star Trek-Deep Space Nine', and BE gods? =P
  4. Then let him preach his own gospel in this topic, GDAWG, and don't be presumptuous enough to preach one for him. And I'm pretty sure he will anyway without your needling of him to do so. =P
  5. Gary's not hurt me, but he has injured Canada's standing in the hockey world, trying to reduce us to a 3rd-tier non-entity. And I don't really like it much when groups or people want to commit slander and character assassination toward Canada. That doesn't really fly with me. So you can call me an a**hole all you want to, but I'm an a**hole for the right reasons, not the wrong. =P
  6. They played their home games in a U.S. city, thereby protecting Bettman's useless a** for another frickin' year, and promoting the idea that Canada should be the U.S.'s hockey slave forever. I'm one who believes in purity, and until any of either Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal win the title again, and on NBC, and shoves Old Glory back up Bettman's crack where it belongs, then I'll back off, even if the U.S. team, who would lose that series 4 games to 0(my preferred result), is made to look stupid on the Peacock Network, in front of the U.S. TV audience. =P
  7. I know who he is. I just don't want to talk about him. In terms of the hockey topic, it's not right for the U.S. to mistreat Canada in any way when it comes to both competitive balance and roster balance. I don't want the U.S. holding any advantage at all over Canada anymore. Period. =P
  8. The only pig I'd farm would be Gary Bettman, seeing as how I'd be more delighted at the sight of him eating from a trough not filled with Canadian money. That he uses against Canada's pro hockey interests every year. =P
  9. If you can Photoshop any U.S. flags out of that pic, Morgo, you'd be doing me a solid. As well as anything that's either black or yellow. Canada would thank you. >;-)
  10. And so the 26th worthless and useless season of the NHL in a row meets it's predictable end....yet another irrelevant U.S. city helps Bettman maintain his iron grip on power in the league. To the fans of the Booins, you continue to have my contempt forever, and that contempt won't be lifted until the Booins throw a Cup Final on purpose to Vancouver, and lose in a 4-0 sweep where the Booins score 0 goals. And then, the year after, purposely lose to Toronto the same way, to give up your unbeaten run against them. To the fans of the Booes, I don't agree with the fact you had to slit Winnipeg's playoff throat to win your championship. You won't get any respect from me until you lose the Campbell Bowl to the Jets, even if it means the Booes purposely lose that series to Winnipeg 4 games to none, with Winnipeg getting 4 shutouts in a row. There's no need for the NHL to be controlled by those without Canadian birth certificates and residency anymore. Mostly due to the fact that the U.S. is going to be forever worthless and useless to the NHL. Because, to me, the U.S. has no genuine soul for hockey. Enjoy those wallets of yours getting fatter and fatter, while living off of Canada's hockey teat, because no team in the U.S. has genuinely earned a d**n thing they've ever gotten. Corrupt, decadent, and rotten to the core. Go drink Bettman's KoolAid all summer long, cause it's only a matter of time before it starts to taste like defecate. >=P
  11. Self-loathing, huh? I guess that's what happens with U.S. NHL fans who feel guilty being fans of a game/sport they didn't create and curate. I guess that's what the almighty $$$$$$$$ does, huh? >=P
  12. At least I'm not a two-faced hockey fan when it comes to supporting teams in Canada. Unlike all those who are fans of U.S. franchises, where loyalty is s**t to them, loyalty means something to me. When it comes to Canada's teams, they're the only ones worth half of a damn. The U.S. teams aren't sacred cows, and shouldn't be worshipped like the false messiahs they all are. >=P
  13. So, the same ol' Yank B.S. continues in the NHL, huh? Governing only to make Canada's teams the personal slaves of the 24 U.S. NHL clubs? This only goes to show me that anyone who takes the side of those clubs, Bettman, and the NHL on NBC, collectively, deserve only one thing...their necks stomped on just for doing it. I, personally, have had it up to here with those 3 entities getting away with any crap they want at all at Canada's expense. All 3 are nothing but useless freeloaders and worthless scofflaws who don't pay the bills that Canada's 7 clubs + Sportsnet/CBC/TSN send them every year. Hell, the U.S. should consider itself lucky the NHL is even in that country at all. But, of course, it breaks down to the same old social and economic maxim...the U.S. is grateful for absolutely not one thing they have and get to experience, because they wield all the power and control in every international relationship they engage in. This is how I think it's time that Canada's NHL markets should stop playing nice with our southern 'neighbors'. A] No longer sell ANY U.S. NHL gear, including championship gear, in ANY stores across Canada(both brick/mortar and online) B] All those stores burn all their existing stock of that gear, and sell it to no one. C] No longer allow ANY Canadian travel company to sell road trip tickets to any of the 24 U.S. NHL venues. D] Ban fans from wearing ANY gear from those clubs inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver(MASSIVE no-no there), the ScotiaBank SaddleDome in Calgary(HELL NO!), Rogers Place in Edmonton(FORGET THAT!), Bell MTS Centre in Winnipeg, ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto(SCREW YOU BOSTON!), Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa(DUCK HUNT IN PERPETUITY!), and the Bell Centre in Montreal. E] No longer allow U.S. NHL club fans to buy tickets to any NHL games in those 7 venues. F] No longer allow U.S. NHL club fans to enter those venues to watch non-game NHL events(drafts, et al). G] Ban the NHL on NBC from entering Canada for coverage of ANY game here, Cup Final included. H] Ban Bettman from entering any border crossing into Canada period. I] Ban fans from wearing any U.S. NHL gear in any of Canada's NHL buildings. and J] Terminate Bettman's job, dissolve the corrupt pro-U.S/anti-Canada Board of Governors that don't make CANADA FIRST! decisions, and create a new 7-person tribunal to govern the league, to ensure MANDATORY 50-50 cross-border balance for all things NHL(roster equalization, same number of teams from each country in each division, et al). I've had it with U.S. control over the league, I've had it with those who support that, and I'm more than welcoming to anyone who's had it up to here with it as much as I AM! So, who's with me here? Just asking. >8-[
  14. So that means if I'm with credentials, and taking pictures of the game, I have to stay behind the yellow hashed line until the game ends? o.o
  15. Forgive me here, but there's some things I see on this full field...the yellow 'dotted' line on the outside, the white ones right beside the yellow, and in front of the team boxes, A] a solid yellow line in front, and B] 2 small white lines on the sides. What are those anyway? o.o
  16. Got a question, Ice Cap...once that ball cleared the left field wall, did you feel the floor of SkyDome physically shake from that crowd explosion? O.o
  17. A stat I just saw... Jason McCourty went from being 0-16 in Cleveland in the 2017 season to being Super Bowl Champion in the 2018 season. O.o
  18. You guys know what tonight was? What Super Bowl LIII turned out to be? Chess. It was a brutal mind game that would've tested the finest minds on this planet. And to be honest, when it comes to the NFL, I don't mind seeing that on occasion. Yes. I hear the 'sick of NE' comments that have permeated message boards and social media the last 15 years, but, whether those out there like it or don't, I say. Congratulations to the 6-Time Super Bowl Champions, the New England Patriots. And to be honest, I've kind of not minded the ride the NFL's been on since the Pats 1st. And, oddly, I want that ride to keep going a little while longer. The Rams? Sad to say, but if you want to win a game of either chess or football, you need two important things...Patience and Experience. Compared to New England, this Rams team was a young one with future promise. This will help the players on that team moving forward. Jared Goff will claim Lombardi one day, and he will credit Super Bowl LIII for helping him get there. But tonight, right now? Duck boats will roll and float in Boston Tuesday morning. I liked Super Bowl LIII. And I hope a lot of others did too.
