maybe the fields for 3 and or 4 would have been radically different had the browns made it

Wonder what logo they would have used for the browns in SB 3 and or 4 had Cleveland won the NFL championship game those season. I don't think they were really using "the brownie" (elf) at that point.

For SB 8 I think the "x" for the kick-offs should be on the 40 yard line, because the NFL did not move the kickoff to the 35 yard line until the start of the 74 season

a general note about the NFL logo I recall when the NFL came out with the updated shield in 2008, so reports stated it was the first time the logo was change since 1980, that could explain the differences in the nfl shield logo discussion on page 3

on the sport logo page there is a thread about super bowls fields on page 3 is a color picture of SB4 Vikings end zone appears the shields are outline in yellow/gold

orange makes sense otherwise white on white I suppose blue would have been better matches the background

wondering are you confident in the Vikings logo on super bowl 4 or should we try to find a clean shot of that part of the end zone

I didn't know they did the "G" for goal line in SB 7 I know it is shows up in SB 11 enjoying all the fields

on youtube super bowl xi halftime show (jan 9 1977) featuring the 1977 mouseketters at 2:50 mark you can see the nfl logo at mid field

it was the NFL 50 logo used in sb4 youtube has the SB4 post game report and at the 8 min mark you can see the nfl 50 logo in the end zone during a kc field goal kick "Super Bowl iv Trophy presentation and post game"
