  1. The Lahore Lions are the unluckiest team in Baseball United, having been in the most United Series appearances without a win. Inspired by the defunct Lahore Lions cricket team, the Lions have a penchant for giving out the first United Series titles to many teams such as Doha, Manama, Riyadh and Jeddah. Lahore finally won in 2035 in one of the closest baseball matches ever against the Dubai Wolves

  2. A beloved part of Bangladesh's sports culture in 2050, Dhaka Robins are the most successful team in the Subcontinent League with the most United Series appearances out of all teams. Named after the national bird (Oriental Magpie-Robin), the Robins regularly compete with the Pakistani and Indian teams and were Champions in 2033 and 2045.

  3. Logo 1: ICC T20 World Cup West Indies and USA 2024

I did always think this would be the first logo I'd make but this happened way sooner than I thought.

    Context:

T20 is the shortest format of cricket with 20 over innings. There are 6 times to bowl (crickets equivalent to a pitch) in an over and each team has 1 inning each. After each over, bowlers change. The batting team has 10 wickets (strike outs essentially except there is no strikes preceding it). Cricket has 2 more formats but I'll get into that when its time for those World Cup logos.

2 days ago , The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a new brand identity for the T20 World Cup.fx69NYA.jpg3GSQKnb.jpg

The design turns the word T20 into a bat and simultaneously the seam of the cricket ball while the zig-zags are meant to symbolise excitement whilst also forming the ball shape. The interesting thing to me is the fact the logo is to be modified for each tournament. Those aren't currently released but the 2024 Men's edition is supposed to have Stripes for the U.S. and a Palm tree pattern for the West Indies.

So I made my version of that idea:

    For this logo:

    • I've changed the tournament name from T20 World Cup back to World Twenty20 as fans didn't like the name change.
    • Stripes for the USA.
    • Divided the stripes section into 3 to symbolise the 3 venues the U.S. will contribute (Florida, New York, Texas).
    • 9 stripes as this is the 9th edition of the tournament.
    • Palm Tree for the West Indies
    • 4 leaves on the palm tree represent the 4 venues the West Indies will contribute (Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago).
    • Carried over the T20 bat from the main brand identity.
    • Maroon for the West Indies, Red for the USA and a shade of blue that is between the shades used on the US flag and the West Indies Flag.
    • A more Circular shape to show off the ball shape more

Since I am neither American nor Caribbean, let me know what you think.

  4. Finally finished PL3. It was shorter than expected but with exams coming up, I needed to do it. Looking back on some of the revived clubs has made me emotional about how many historic clubs may have been lost to time. And I do hope many get revived at some point in the future.  Well now it's 48 teams and 144 kits done, 36 teams and 108 kits left. I'll see y'all here after a while

  5. 4 teams in one post now. Patna is regrettable but in the end was ok. I'm fine with the rest existing tbh. I used the Rihla design ball for the Jets because I think clubs having a ball in the logo should at least have the template of the contemporary ball. I might be able to end PL3 today or tomorrow, which means a long break afterwards and a return to Basketball and Baseball concepts.

  6. The last team of the Arabian League, the Riyadh Knights joined the league in 2024 along with Jeddah. The financial might of these two ensured that the Arabian League is always dominated by Saudi teams, culminating in Riyadh's 2030 United Series win. Riyadh is the most dominant team in the league and is associated with Al Nassr, hence the alternate color scheme.

  7. The third team of the Arabian League (I screwed up the alphabetical order), the Jeddah Giants joined the league in 2024 along with Riyadh. The financial might of these two ensured that the Arabian League is always dominated by Saudi teams, culminating in their 2031 United Series win. With the 2040s debacle however, the Giants have started to falter and give way to Cairo and Kuwait.
