  1. They're going to get all the worst of the Jazz hand me down concepts. Double blue with highlighter
  2. Alts are here to stay, I'm not bothered by it. Good way to have your cake and eat it too IMO
  3. Texans look like 2 normal sets and 2 with bold red. Seems fine to me.
  4. Holding out judgment until seeing live images. Still think Texans may be tolerable and Broncos good. A pointless weird helmet stripe may not ruin the whole thing.
  5. Every time I see the Bills I'm struck that their unis are beautiful. Hope they don't change any time soon. Best in the league?
  6. I hate the redundancy too. Why do cheap Walmart replicas even bother with that? Even if doing sleeve stripes correctly is cost prohibitive, why put anything there? But it's funny that the whole design element is taboo because of its association with cheap replicas.
  7. You say there's no Jazz in Utah? Now there's twice the Jazz in Utah!! The hastiness is reminiscent of the New Orleans move.
  8. Utah [Jazz] HC - it's informally happening!! Seriously though, he can displace the dumb minimalist Jazz concepts to the ice and let the Jazz look like the Jazz. The colors might not be as unique in the NHL...but Penguins, Bruins, and Golden Knights don't use HIGHLIGHTER yellow!
  9. I was horrified by the lack of stripes too, but as you say, it shouldn't matter because they SHOULD pair silver pants with everything.
  10. It's hard to put a finger on it but I preferred the negative space on the classics' striping. But even on images of Barry, the lower half of the stripes are often cut off, and it's hard to find too much fault with simplifying them.
  11. I do prefer the Sanders era stripes. The new ones look a little too monotonous gray, not quite enough of a departure from the current set with its wordmarks.
  12. Is gold (metallic, not athletic) the toughest shade to get right? It's good when it's rich. The Saints have done it. But often it's pale, washed out and awful like many Georgia Tech and Purdue football jerseys. It works better as shiny helmet or pants than jersey. Meanwhile, the 49ers looked "wrong" with an objectively good shade of gold and somehow look way better with traditional beige pants.
  13. The split front back was far better than it sounds on paper. But today they'd probably wear it against another team wearing black. The Vince logo is too good to be a one and done, so that's good news.
  14. I think both the old orange and brown look richer and better, but I guess it's tough to pass judgment given variable fabric and lighting factors. The variability of those factors might be bigger than the actual color changes, making the design process a matter of trial and error.
  15. Black / teal flake is such a better idea
