Thanks for posting that; I didn't see that at first. So, my deduction from that—and the way they probably should have phrased that for better clarity and accuracy—is that since chrome literally reflects all colors shone into it, they chose chrome to figuratively (and also quite literally) reflect all the colors in the community. Psychologically, it does make sense, so I'll give them points for thinking outside the box a little bit—even if the execution comes off a good bit corny.
As to @PK22's point about the navy represe—um, reflecting the presence of the US Navy, that's also very valid and I don't know how that missed me the first time , as over-familiar with the Navy as I am.
All that though gets back to my initial question: what's this club's principal colorway? Navy and chrome? I want to see how that translates on their kits—though if know MLS, their debut primary kit will be all navy with chrome accoutrements and probably some semblance of the "community colors" treatment either as collar/cuff trim, some kind of striping be it pinstripes or otherwise...or maybe, and this would actually be a cool-as-heck idea, they'll apply the CCs to the adidas stripes. (If they do, they better do it to the socks, too.) In that guise, I imagine their change kit will simply be a white or light gray/"chrome" color-swap of the primaries....
Hm... Maybe they could add 'chrome' sort of like what Liverpool did with their away kit last year:

University of Denver new New Balance set:

Not a fan of the san serif lettering and modern number font. I wish they would have matched the fonts to the new logo on the shoulder. I do like the brighter red that DU went with when they rebranded.

Has anyone picked a number in the 90s range because of their birth year?
In hockey: Conner McDavid (97) - Edmonton Oilers, and Gabe Landeskog (92) and Mikko Rantanen (96) - Colorado Avalanche all use their birth year (i'm guessing quite a few others, but those are the ones I know of).
Not sure about anyone in basketball.

I think the current Panthers uniforms would be improved by switching the placement of the numbers and insignia (i.e having the insignia on the shoulders and the numbers on the sleeves). I wish they would also add consistency by making the sleeve cuffs navy to match the hem stripe.

Maybe instead of "District of Columbia", you could try "The District" on one or two leveled text.
On a general note about the Twins to DC set: I think the separate color scheme for the jersey elements works better for a DC based team (than the current Twins) due to the cuff striping aligning with the Washington, DC flag.

I wonder if the Broncos are going to place the "Denver D" logo (that fits with the uniform that the alternate is designed around) or the current logo on their alternate helmet. Personally, it does not work either way. Hm...
-
You could also meld the color schemes and do purple and gold.

While I don't like the name, some of the logos for the Rocky Mountain Extreme were interesting:
I like the "player over X" logo.

On the Flyers new home and away unis:
Overall, I feel the the design is incomplete and close to a really good set that combines different eras of the teams history.
On the plus side is the new color orange. It gives more contrast to the jersey's white elements.
For negatives (and more of my personal design pet peeves), the inconsistent number outlines between sleeve and back numbers (pick to outline or not, just not both), and road name plate (the home name plate works due to its historical nature, but up until the last jersey redesign the Flyers have never had a contrasting name plate on their white jersey).
Kind of wish the incorporated black in the socks.
FWIW, my favorite Flyers uniform is the '97-'01 'Lindros' era.

I'm hoping for 90's Bills as the new Texans template but I think I'm in the minority on that one.
As long and there is no side panels or piping around the road shoulder yoke, I don't mind this idea for the Texans.

A thicker key line around the logo on your green Seahawks helmet might help it read better (it kind blinds into the background color currently).
I do like the green as a primary color for your Seahawks concept. Nice work!

The Rockies should ditch the black entirely and go with a color scheme similar to Kansas State. Let the purple be the primary color and use silver and white as the accent colors. Absolutely no rhyme or reason as to why they went with black as the primary other than they wanted tobe yet another team on that popular early 90s black and silver bandwagon, and they probably do it worse than any other team.
Dark green would’ve been a better choice, and the All Star Game they hosted in the late 90s showed that.
I always thought that this logo would be a great basis for adding green to the Rockies color scheme and updating their primary logo:
...and for a brand refresh they could start with the most recent All-Star logo and build off of that (hey look there are lighter shades of purple):

For the Rockies: I think adding purple numbers and replacing black in the wordmark would really help to push the purple as a primary color for their home unis. I wouldn't mind them wearing full purple hats, too (at home).

While we're on the topic of hockey jerseys, for any of you who own an adidas-branded versus Fanatics-branded NHL "authentic" jersey (bcuz I know none of them are fully authentic): what is the difference, if any, between the two? I got my hands on some of the Fanatics-branded jerseys (I don't know whether what I was holding was classified as a replica or "authentic", but thin, brittle, and cheap is what I'd call the NOB/number fake-kiss cut/twill treatment); it's been a while since I held an adidas replithentic or any other kind.
Asking for a friend...who drives large five-axle combo vehicles...before he drops another ungodly sum on personalized merchandise...
So, looking at the Avs Adidas Climalite "authentic" jersey I have:
- All stripes and logos are stitched on the jersey
- The logos are embroidered and the tackle twill is a bit lighter in thickness than my CCM replicas
- The NHL logo on the collar is shiny plastic and glued on (the color part on the front is double thickness to hide the backing for the NHL logo
- Has a double stitched fight strap
- The mesh fabric for the jersey is finer and lighter than my CCM replicas
(FWIW, I bought the jersey on sale ($130 + tax/shipping) before Adidas moved to their more resent fabric change).
Hope this helps your friend make the correct decision when looking into purchasing a new jersey .
