despite teal being a new-at-the-time trend color for the league, the whole thing felt drab. The brighter teal they're using now certainly helps, but using black or gray as secondary colors just brings it down a notch for me.

you have it reversed, the OG teal was lighter/brighter than what they wear now.

  2. It happens when the same person owns both teams and the arena.

I also don't see how chevy is "clearly" an inspiration for the logo. Why would a car logo be a source of inspiration?

Does it look similar, yes. but that's it.  They took the existing shield shape, added a rectangle around the word mark, done.

It's really nothing more than that.

Are teams using the new plastic adidas sweaters in the preseason games?  The press release said starting October 12th but that is likely just to call out the regular season.

Yes, you can see the hem tag in the Flames/Kraken pic.  Also, the Kraken don't have an older set of jersey to fall back on so, yes they kinda had to.

The logo depicts a sunset hence the red sky.

I've always seen it as night and the moon. A dark forest with only the light of the moon to show the way, the ever present north star, even the streaks crossing over the sun/moon feel ominous to me. Night time, where a wild animal stalks.

Yes, the sun (its not the moon) has always appeared athletic gold/yellow on the jersey crest just as it appears in print. I wish they would utilize that athletic gold into the jerseys but I do understand the conflict it has with the wheat.

How can it be the sun if the north star is present ?

I love that marketing bullpoop. From what I know Aeroready and earlier Climalite were also made from recycled materials and general sports clothes mostly are made from recycled materials, but now everyone wants to label that and raise price because it's ECO even it was always an eco.

Aeroready/Climalite was to denote moisture wicking fabric, not that the item was made from recycled fabric. NHL jerseys, with the exception of the 2019 all-star Parley jerseys, have not been made from recycled materials.

Very little general sports clothing is made from recycled materials or threads.  every company has their select items and collection, but the majority is still not "sustainable"

Sept. 15, but according to the Seattle Times, available from their three retail stores; I didn't see anything about online availability.

They're going to sell out immediately, and then sell out again. And then again.

Hopefully they're well stocked by Christmas.

1994 was a pretty good year for NHL uniforms. The Original Six looked as good as ever, plus you had the Whalers in navy, the end of the classic Sabres, Flames, and Oilers, an understated but nice Blues uniform, the diagonal Pittsburgh road sweater that many people love, the inaugural Panthers and Mighty Ducks, original Sharks and Senators, and the Nordiques with actual stitched numbers. The Bolts were still a work in progress, but hadn't switched out Honolulu blue for dark royal yet. It wasn't a perfect year -- the Stars looked terrible, the Capitals looked terrible, and I have never cared for the spaghetti-skate Canucks -- but  it was about as good as you can ask for.

the 92-94 era is the sweet spot for me

Not only that, but when I decided "Eh, why not, since it's not like I could afford one" and installed the app, I can't even find anything about the voting once I open the app, just on the webpage telling me to go vote in the app.

I kind of get the logic of making people vote in the app, since I definitely wouldn't have even given any thought to Adidas having an app if it weren't for this (not that I'll use it), but I get the impression that they made AND LAUNCHED the webpage first, and haven't even created the voting mechanism in the app yet. Either that or it's the most buried thing I've ever seen outside of a cancellation link.

Go to the App.  The bottom right corner icon is "on the radar" >  Click it.  > Exclusive Giveaways > Reverse Retro > click, scroll to "continue" > Vote
