BostonMeerkats
After several attempts throughout the years, I've carried my first worldbuilding/league building concept to a position where I feel comfortable sharing what I have. Basically the rules of this concept as were established by 10-11 year old me, was a big NFL. How big? 48 teams big. The concept is based around a fictional version of American Football, named "Central Football" which is fairly similar to Canadian Football, which when I was 10 years old, I did not know was a thing. The name comes from the fact that the sport arose between Canadian Football and Association Football played in Mexico, so in the center of the country. Owing to the fact that the NFL is irl the only truly American league, in this alternate history timeline, it is the opposite with Football being the only international league. For starters the US is really big, including the entirety of Canada, along with several Mexican states (undecided on how many). Now there are some quirks to this whole thing. The 48 teams are split into 3 4 division Conferences (leagues in their own right), which do not play each other. Similar to the American and National Leagues prior to the 90's, there is no inter-conference games. Playoffs are contested in simple single elimination games in a round of 16, featuring all division winners, a wildcard spot per conference, and a final wildcard team which can be of any conference. In regards to the naming, I followed some rules: Has to feature my 3 favorite irl teams, (GB Packers, DET Tigers, OTT Senators), as I could not justify a team in Ottawa, they're instead in Washington. It included some of the first team names I came up with (around 30 back in 2010), such as Zebras, Meerkats, Quetzals, Crocodiles, Lions, Falcons. I was allowed to take a select number of team names from irl leagues, such as the Lakers, Jazz, Raptors, Kraken, Stars, Reds, Eagles, Bears. Theres names I'm not entirely sold on, and might be tempted to move them around, if not outright change them, but I'm satisfied with the current lineup. I have rudimentary wiki building on the league, as well as history (mostly made with 36 teams in mind, not the 48), which could be brought further up in my list of things to do if people would like. My artistic skills are really bad, but I make do, at the moment I have about 5 logos made (mostly from scratch), but no jerseys, but I haven't particularly looked into finding an appropriate template to make them, although I have the concepts in mind. BostonMeerkats
The Ciudad de Mexico Cascabeles (Mexico City Rattlesnakes) Initially I was interested in using the Arizona Rattlers logo, but this proved unfeasible. The logo combines the M from the Diablos Rojos de Mexico, with a Rattlesnake in the form of a C, to make a CM. I would like to touch up on this design latter on, but I dedicated two afternoons to the whole design, so its not high on my list. The Cascabeles are a relatively new team in the Mexican capital, playing opposite to the Aztecs, the more well known city team. However the Cascabeles have the benefit of playing most of the other Spanish speaking teams in the Mexican states, South Mexico, Guatemala, and Cuba. In soccer its pretty common for the two main teams in a city to cater to different economic, and social classes, and this continues into the NCFL, with the Cascabeles being seen as the Mexican, and common people's team, in contrast to the Aztecs, which enjoy a more affluent fan base. The team was chosen primarily because of its involvement in the Tenochtitlan city founding myth, which said that the city should be founded where an Eagle carrying a snake would land.

BostonMeerkats
The Albuquerque Whiptails The first logo I made in this series. The Whiptail is a type of lizard that is common to the Southwest, and is the state lizard of New Mexico. A big desire in this series was to include animals from groups that are not well represented such as Reptiles. The logo features a W and an A on top of each other with the colors of Albuquerque, the A features the long whip-like tail that provides the animal its common name. BostonMeerkats
The Carolina Revolution. The Carolina Revolution based in Charlotte make notice to the words of famous words of General Cornwallis, which referred to the city as a "Hornet's nest" of rebellion. Now the cannon featured in the logo is not quite historically accurate as the Blue Jackets make reference to the Civil War. But the cannon is frankly too good to change for "minor" historical inaccuracies. I decided not to change the blue of the Cannon to make note of the blue in the North Carolina flag, which forced me to pick a different color for the C, so I opted to leave it as yellow. I was heavily inspired by the Colorado Rockies in this design.
