Alphabet Man
look at them, disrespectful to the ANZAC Day minutes silence/ National Anthem That's before the minute's slience. What's more concerning is that it appears Mark Mercuri is fondling himself. i wouldn't be surprised twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
plattopus
Yeah neither would I. I think it's safe to say the red shorts were the worst uniforn decision in the history of professional sports anywhere in the world. Damn they were awful. In 1975 Richmond wore yellow shorts, as did West Coast Eagles in 1988.They well and truly beat red shorts in the revolting stakes. WCE, was that the heritage style or the classic one they wore in the premierships (ie mainly blue or yellow??) They changed from the predominantly Gold jumper in R18 1988. This was after R18 1987 when they played Hawthorn and noone could tell one team from the other. AFL rules said they had to give 1 year's notice of a jumper change. So exactly 1 year later, they changed to predominantly Blue. With Footscray being mostly blue this also didn't really help. So West Coast decided to wear Gold/Yellow shorts in their game at Western Oval to distinguish the two. plattopus
The Eagles/Bulldogs game this year was a bit tough on the ol' peepers. They're still not the most easily distinguished guernseys.I don't remember the yellow shorts you speak of... any pics?

They were terrible. It was the last game of 1988, I think they scored about 3 goals for the day. This year, West Coast should have worn their Home jumper, and will from now on against Footscray.
