wheateater Posted June 5, 2005 Share Posted June 5, 2005 Well, according to the Chris Creamer Sports Logos page: -the NHL has used its current logo in one form or another since 1918. -MLB has used the silhouetted batter since 1969. -the NBA has used its Jerry West silhouette since 1972.As for the NFL, I could not find any indication of when it came into use. If I had to guess, I'd say sometime after 1960, but that's just a guess...
