WJMorris3 Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 I heard someone say that they think the LLWS should use new uniforms, but with the city of origin in place of generics like "Mid-Atlantic" or "EMEA".Personally, I think the unis should have the Little League name, most of the time. Here's what I whipped up as ideas, using this year's tournament.POOL AMid-Atlantic - Council Rock Newtown Little League - Newtown, PAMidwest - Davenport Northwest Little League - Davenport, IANorthwest - West Oahu Little League - Ewa Beach, HISoutheast - Maitland Little League - Maitland, FL

VitaminD Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 Love the idea, WM. And I like the sources for the colors you chose (colleges for US, national colors for the others). But aren't some of the possible matchups close to clashing?Venezuela (yellow/blue) v. Louisiana (yellow/purple)Carribean (orange/blue) v. Florida (orange/green)Japan (blue/white) v. Russia (blue/red)Would it be worth making clash jerseys (white?) just in case these things come up? The way they do it now, it looks like they generally avoid clashing uniforms - I haven't seen all the games, so I can't say for sure. And why don't they spring for player names on the back? They go to the trouble of nice new uniforms, why not put the name on there as well... "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
