Francis10 Posted November 2, 2005 Share Posted November 2, 2005 Infact, Penn State just beat a NCAA D-1 team in an exhibition game a week or two ago. Not to disrespect PSU's club hockey team, but they beat Robert Morris who is only in their 2nd year of D-I play. Plus it was an exhibition, meaning RM didn't play their top goaltender the entire game and probably had a few players playing who normally wouldn't see the ice much.If PSU came into D-I right now, they'd be at or near the bottom of the barrel. True... but PSU is recognized widely as the best club hockey team in the nation, by a wide margin. The only thing holding them back from going D-I is Title IX, because they'd also have to start up a women's program. Syracuse is the same boat, but they are on the cusp of starting a men's and women's program.And to stay on topic, I dig jersey #2. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
