Busch Faces Wrecking Ball on Monday

Recommended Posts

Cardinals officials confirmed last evening that the first wrecking ball will strike the 39 year old stadium at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, November 7. The stadium was to be imploded, however progress on the new Busch is so far ahead of schedule that it was decided the wrecking ball method would be cleaner and cause less disruption to the construction of the new park as well as adjoining businesses (including a large hotel that's in the process of a major upgrade and rebranding). The razing will take about 90 days. The Cardinals also announced that they will open Busch III on April 11 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
