Are New Era Hats Not 100% Wool Anymore?

The final on-field version of the Reds' ice cream man caps were not 100% wool (they were jersey material to match the uniforms better, the bills were nylon), and until '98 did not say they were a 59/50 inside. In 1998 nothing changed about the caps, they were still jersey material, except they started "popping out" the logos and all of a sudden they said 59/50 inside. When the pinstriped version was initially sold they were all-wool 59/50s but they were first kind of a cream/yellow version with red eyelets, then a version without. Both versions would have looked terrible with the really-white uniforms. I'd been looking for the jersey material version for years (most eBay versions are the wool ones) and finally found one in Cincinnati a few years ago. It's the non-59/50 version and even has completely different tags than the rest of the New Era caps were using at the time. Maybe too much information for some but kind of interesting, I think.
