Fred T. Jane
I've never done a Soccer Kit concept before, so I decided to give it a whirl with everyone's favourite nation for hockey forwards, Slovakia! They almost made the World Cup this go-around, and are hoping for a better showing for South Africa in 2010.I tried to duplicate their older Hockey Jerseys (late 1990s) in terms of sleeve stripingThough to be honest, I always thought a copy of their Salt Lake City Jerseys would do well on a Soccer shirt...Guess that'll be Phase 2... C+C, as always. [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. steiny_ramone
I never really liked those Olympic hockey jerseys of theirs, the white stripe along the chest just comes out of no where...might look good as a soccer jersey. As for the concept, I don't know what Slovakia's late 90's jerseys look like, so I can't make a comparison. But I do like your concept. It's not too complictated or abstract, so I like it. facespace?http://www.myspace.com/seancalcottmusic http://www.myspace.com/forgottentoys
Fred T. Jane
I *had* a great image of Jan Lasak wearing it, but I can't find it anymore. For shame.Regardless, I redid it with the colours Nike uses for Ice Hockey, the Slovak Football Association patch on the right sleeve, and the familiar striping on the shoulders and the chest (sorry for the large file size. I tried to compress it, but no dice...)Here's their present jerseys for comparison [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques.
