Webhamster
I haven't rolled up some of the most recently released spaceflight patches in a while. I find the design of these to be interesting and space is a little bit of an obsession of mine. Since the shuttle program is ending (unless STS-135 gets added next June) there will be no more shuttle patches. That leaves us with the latest ISS and Soyuz patches...Soyuz TMA-01M (Launching October 7, 2010 - the first Soyuz with digital flight systems - if you run the digital code on the patch through a converter it says "STMA-01M")Soyuz TMA-20 (Launching November 30, 2010)ISS Expedition 26 (November 2010 - March 2011)ISS Expedition 27 (March 2011 - May 2011)And Chris Hadfield, who will become the first Canadian to command a spacecraft when he assumes command of Expedition 34 in 2013, has designed a personal patch for himself (this is actually quite common and not a case of hubris gone mad). Ben7
As for that Soyuz Patches, is that red item a nod to the Star Trek Insignia? I quite like the Earth/Moon/Mars idea and how it's done with just the small shade of the Hadfield patch.
Webhamster
As for that Soyuz Patches, is that red item a nod to the Star Trek Insignia? It is the logo of Roscosmos, the Russian Space Agency.
