Secondary vs. Alternate

I'm sort of new to this thing; I've always loved the designs of logos but just recently have I gotten into the history and terminology like this. So I was wondering what's the difference between a secondary logo and and alternate logo?

Not necessarily. In my observation, "secondary" is usually only used when a team only has two logos and one is clearly marked as the primary. If a team has multiple alternate logos, they're usually referred to as such unless one of the alts is used significantly more often than the others. But yea... for the most part it's just splitting hairs to say there's a clear distinction between the two.
