Xodius Posted December 7, 2011 Share Posted December 7, 2011 There are two things that hold this concept back; the logo is very modern, very contradictory of the whole "Winter Classic" theme and I'm guessing the 1977 set inspired your concept? Unfortunately, in hockey, context is everything. When the GM tried to go forward with this design in 1976 as opposed to the classic set, the team was met with outrage, the GM went to the Jets where we instilled the same jersey design, so NYR fans, historically, aren't a fan of the jersey.The concept is a very clean and simple one.
