I'm a bit late here, but I think this looks pretty good. The update is much better, but I liked the lines better when they were going the other direction. I'd also like too see how it would look on a white background because I think the lines might stand out to much.

One suggestion I have that might work or might look terrible is adding a drop-shadow. Their current bolt seems to imply a drop-shadow, and it might add some character to this logo.
