New Logo for My Designing Brand

Since posting my work on Instagram, I was suprised by the amount of graphic designers who also show their work. So I said, hey why don't I completely redo my branding logo from scratch.

Originally I was born in Washington, D.C. but my parents moved us to the nearby suburb of Prince George's County, Maryland. Even though I don't reside in the city, the culture of DC lives within me; Huge Redskins fan, gogo, mumbo sauce, half and half (Arnold Palmers), riding the Metro, the red light shining from the Washington Monument, and even down to the street signs. Thus inspiration for my new logo.

I feel like that would be a t-shirt design or a website image not so much as a logo itself.

Not to say I don't like and respect your idea, but when I think branding logo, you need that one recognizable symbol that can be applied anywhere.
