paynomind Posted July 1, 2004 Share Posted July 1, 2004 ATLANTA (July 1, 2004) -- The Atlanta Thrashers have agreed to terms with defenseman Jaroslav Modry, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell.Modry, 33, registered 32 points (five goals, 27 assists) and 44 penalty minutes in 79 games with Los Angeles last season. The 6-2, 220-pound defenseman topped the Kings with 24:23 ATOI, a plus-11 rating and 196 shots. He also led the team's blue liners in assists and shared first in scoring. The native of Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, has earned 185 points (40 goals, 145 assists) and 330 penalty minutes in 490 games over 10 NHL seasons with New Jersey, Ottawa and Los Angeles.
