  1. So, hockey related revenue transfers to the team in exchange for a $1.5 million discount on the arena management. Since I highly doubt that there's going to be an influx of North Phoenix mayor-tasers filling up the ex-Jobber, this just seems like it's a backroom thing where the team's leaving in two years and this will just serve to make the divorce a bit more amicable.

  2. ...that's it? How much oxy are we talking here? Like distribution-level?

Has to be, right? You don't flat out terminate a contract over simple possession. It has to be more. This is so strange.

TMZ said he got picked up on June 17. Lombardi and the Kings said they didn't know until Friday at the Draft, June 26.

Perhaps someone from up north can verify this but from what I read Oxy is banned in Canada so that may make this a bit more of an issue.

  3. It's become ever apparent that people don't realize that there are seven active moderators on the boards. As such, please keep in mind that there's never a situation where one moderator is trying to gang up on you or that only one moderator is involved in the day-to-day happenings on the board. If you would like to send a PM to the moderating team, please include all seven of us since there's been several cases where I have been solely addressed and I wasn't involved in the original incident.

As a reminder, the active moderators are: LMU, crashcarson15, Ice_Cap, Lee, Mockba, slapshot, and Brian in Boston.

    Thank you.

  4. A contraction draft would be fun.

And while I'm overjoyed with the result of the vote, this just means that, when the team moves, fans will bitch how they were "betrayed" and "screwed over" by the city, and how hockey in Phoenix totally would have worked if not for those selfish councillors.

Especially if a camera is permanently fixed on Shane Doan as he learns what subpar region he'll be uprooted to.
If I was GM of Winnipeg in that situation, I would draft him just for the hell of it.

  6. Keep in mind that a lot of times the ads are tailored to you based on your history/cookies. I've had several ads for my big and tall clothing sites after I tried to fruitlessly search for size 20 shoes.

So, if you're getting more NSFW ads, might want to clear out the cookies...

  7. Just tried it again and now it's happening every single time I click a topic - and even after I click "back" to go back. It shows me the topic for a second then switches to women's health.

Not only that, but even when I click on forums (which doesn't cause the redirect like topics do) it launches tabs to advertiser sites.

I'm done with this on iPad. If it starts happening on phone i may need to be done all together since that's my primary posting method now.

I totally get the need for ads, but there's a difference between an advertisement and totally hijacking your device. I apologize if this is just a virus or something that's specific to my particular device, and I know that it's not like CC or whoever is sitting there consciously making this happen, but I hope it can stop.

I had the same thing happen to me as well. For me, it was on my laptop. No problems on the phone.

It stopped recently, though. I was finally going to make a post about it too before it stopped. Good to know it wasn't just me.

I had it happen a couple days ago on my iPad as well. Not sure what the heck would cause it.
