    my te'o jersey

    IMG_20121012_201131.jpg

Wow, this fricking guy is on two boards I frequent.

    http://www.goaliesto...tml#post1873664

Someone ban him, thats either him on two boards or he stole it from another one.

whats wrong with being on 2 boards?

He either stole the pictures from someone else claiming they are his, or he is obviously selling counterfeit items.

Either way, I'm surprised loogooodude is still here this time.

Im lamenting the fact he's on two of them too, and on the other he's gotten people to want to buy it.

  2. just got it . thank you . it's awesome and i'm ready for my second order now .thy promise to ship by dhl this time

Thanks for the update, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say how concern I was that you'd get your package.

I really wish they would seize more packages. From what I understand, they go after the bulk stuff more, but if they can manage to stop more of the smaller ones coming in than I can only assume it'd be slightly crippling for some of these sites.

Any idea how large the counterfeit market actually is?

acturally .buying counterfeits seems not illegal . but for some real poor fans .10 jerseys buying at 30 bucks for all of their family is better than one authentic one with hundreds of dolloars

Umm it is illegal, hence the confiscation of your products before they leave customs and the length of sentences for those caught importing and/or selling them.

Just because whatever third world country your living in doesn't enforce intellectual property rights and their own laws doesn't mean it's not illegal.

It just means when some country invades and takes over it'll be that much harder for you and your countrymen to assimilate (that is, unless your blown to bits first).

  3. I'll be honest, out of all the excuses saying they are the same thing, just cheaper....

these newer nike jerseys seem liked they are a plastic tag from being perfected on the counterfeit market. I'm literally scared to buy a jersey off ebay right now, and I really know my stuff when it comes to spotting fakes. Even others I'm sure are somewhat "impressed" with how quickly and accurately the nike jerseys have been copied.

Look at a a tebow on ebay from a 0 feedback seller, and check out his williams and graham- it's cuncanny.

the give away is the fabric jocktag and NFL logo.

  4. The ball-in-glove is a fantastic logo, but the current Brewers identity is much more fitting for the name.

too bad they cant combine the eras together..... wait a minute! they can and should.

No, they can't. The BiG would look completely out of place with the current set.

(And the BiG is not that great of a logo)

You could always recolor the ball in glove to Navy and Gold, maybe tilt it a little too. and alter the M logo to take a little detail from the barley? out and dull the M a little. Same with the actual word mark. You'd tilt the glove a little to add the same effect the wordmark seems to have. Or straighten out the wordmark.

  5. Wrong uniform and number.

    leestandingo.jpg

#27 isn't really the wrong number for him per se. He wore it with San Diego, Florida, and Atlanta. He wore #25 with Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. In fact, for whatever reason, he switched mid-tenure in Florida.

He probably switched in 1998 for 3B Todd Zeile when the Piazza trade went down. Sign of respect for a veteren.

  6. Right, but it's still stupid that a fan wouldn't be able to get a jersey with his name on it just because he has the same name as a player who used to play for that team.

You can get a jersey with that name, just not with that exact number that the retired player wore.

You can call and ask to have the restriction lifted by proving your lastname really is smith or marino or sanders. They just dont want someone buying the jersey infringing on the players licensing rights. Theres no licensing right conflict if you share the same surname.

  7. i honestly think my chinese dallas stars jersey is of much higher quality than the replicas they sell in the proshop...

the only gripes i have about my chinese ribeiro jersey is that the nameplate font seems too thin and poor spaced, and the NHL logo on the collar isn't perfectly centered. i'll take those flaws over the screenprinted-and-glittered shoulder logos, and flimsy glued on DALLAS wordmark (with perfect triangles cut out for the holes in the A's?! ugly).

sadly, i've gotten to the point where i just don't plan to buy jerseys anymore. not sure if it's an age thing with me (never thought i'd play that card) or what, but i'd just as soon wear a hoodie or player tshirt to a game than an officially licensed replica that falls apart in the wash, and isn't even all that accurate off the shelf.

i don't own a replica of this particular sweater, but if anyone out there does, please take a picture of the A's... i've looked at the pro-shop many times, and they're just horrific and sloppy. basically, take a standard nhl.com nameplate/number, and construct the DALLAS wordmark out of it. most teams aren't as screwed over as dallas, because they actually get real logos on their sweaters. reebok has totally turned me off to buying jerseys... and i don't plan to buy any more chinese ones, either... but i will say playing devil's advocate, that i'd much rather be seen in a chinese knockoff dallas stars jersey than anything you can buy off the rack at the arena or official team store.

I'd hate to say it but from my phone that knockoff looks pretty good. I can't diagree with you in terms of quality. The old starter replicas are better then today's authentics.

I personally would but a knockoff to play in if I can decide on a color scheme for my goalie pads.

  9. And also these ones of Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez

    Always Red Sox to me.

Damon doesn't have 1 team. He was drafted and spent 6 seasons in KC. He won a championship in both New York and Boston, spending 4 seasons in each city. I believe I heard a few weeks ago he said he would want to go into the HOF as a Royal, if he got it.

When I think of Johnny Damon, I don't think "Man, what a true Royal." I think of him as being with the Idiots on the Red Sox. Like it or not, his glory days were with Boston. People will remember for the beard and being the catalyst for the Red Sox for their curse-breaking 2004 season.

I'm not forcing you to think like me. You can think that his one "true" team is the Rays for all I care. I'm simply stating that I think he'll be remembered as a member of the Red Sox first and foremost. That's how I'll remember him.

Well, you're a Red Sox fan, so that's not surprising, I'm a Yankee fan,I don't think of him as a Yankees, I think of him as a journey man.... Who spent big chunks of his career in 3 cities, and short stops in 2 other cities. And when you say "glory days" what does that even mean? He arguably had better years in New York, his OPS is higher in NY than it was in Boston, and he won a championship, and was a big part of both, in New York and Boston.

Didn't Damon play for the A's too?
