I'd like to see a team use "Salt Lake City" instead of Utah. Not a lot of three-word city names out there, and I think it could prove important to differentiate a more gentile-based following from the very Mormon-based Jazz fanbase: Salt Lake City is now more than just the Mormons (at the expense of becoming Second Denver; the first one is mediocre enough as it is), whereas "Utah," well, less so. Basketball is part of Mormon culture and hockey isn't.

Before Mike Marshall died, I wish more pitchers had taken him up on his unconventional pitching mechanics. I wanted to see if it would work.

Purple is a hard color to get consistent and the Rockies have always seemed to struggle more than most. I know many of us here have advocated for a more desaturated "purple mountains majesty" shade so that it would be a little harder to shift into blue.

Arlington Park, where the Bears want to build a stadium, isn't really in the middle of Arlington Heights proper; it's a little peninsula jutting into Rolling Meadows and Palatine. There are now teenagers who undergo Tommy John surgery, so it's preemptive in the sense that it happens before they've ever been signed to a major-league contract. We're doing something wrong if we're making kids throw so hard and so often that they need to switch out a tendon by age 17.

I'm going to echo what tons of people here have already said (and mocked up), which is that if the old-timey Browns are going to commit to a helmet as a logo, they should go so far back that no one could confuse the helmet with recent history: an old one-bar facemask, for instance. Lean into the concept of predating a logo rather than using the stock helmet art across the league and calling it a primary--especially when that stock helmet art is a relic of the recent, not distant, past.

Personally, I think the =B= football was halfway to the right idea, it just should have been a =C= instead.

If jackets had proper identification on the back, that could be an option, like when pitchers were on base on cold days. They'd still look like baseball players, just warmer.

Fixing the primary helmet is all the more reason not to wear a different one. Keep the emphasis on the helmet that acts as their logo.

I distinctly remember a post here that broke down all the poor craftsmanship in the Thunder logo, every little spot here and there where something wasn't drawn correctly. There was another for the Carolina Panthers. But I definitely remember someone drawing attention to how the R doesn't line up right or how the various elements in the guitar pick of doom are just a little bit off. It was probably in 2008; I'll never find it.
