Someday, there will be a uniform unveiling where the uniform is great, we all like it, and the only thing Nike says about it will be "yeah, we went with this because we thought it looked cooler than ." This will happen right after real life Jurassic Park opens and Millennium Falcon Airlines offers non-stop service to Hoth; the skiing capital of the quadrant. -

A thing can't be "more unique." It's either unique or it isn't. Carry on and Go Bucks. -

"The gold and maroon shoulder patch is a nod to our American fighting forces. The stars represent the generals who commanded our brave troops in the jungle and the stripes are inspired by flag of South Viet Nam to represent our allies in one of America's greatest military achievements. Or...it could be a nod to the Marine Corps. We have no idea. We're just making this up as we go along. " -

Woolco is a blast from the past. I'd forgotten about that place. Montgomery Ward was awesome. You gotta love a store where you could buy a mini-bike, golf clubs, a washing machine, a pool table, and a digital watch before you even hit the second floor. -

9 year old me hated that my Browns jersey had BROWNS on the front of it. It wasn't on the real jerseys so I didn't want it on mine. I've been a uniform geek for a very long time. -

Fair enough. I'll just add that there isn't an "or not" option on the old name being racist. But I do get what you're trying to say. -

Since it looks like our bid to buy the Broncos over in SiG is going to fall through and we can't do this with that team, I suggest moving the Washingtons to Hartford and rebranding them as the Hartford Football Whalers Football Team and Canoe Club. Problem solved. -

I know why it had to go, and I'm glad it's gone. I will also miss the uniform they wore up until the 2021 season, because it was beautifully designed. Why is a mod trying to pick a fight? I said nothing indicating their former identity should have stayed. You gonna go into the Prettiest Super Bowl thread and harass everyone who mentioned a SB Washington's been in? If you saw my post as "trying to pick a fight" you were looking for something that wasn't there. My point was simple, if the team's name is a slur that you (and by you I mean the royal you) wouldn't call someone to their face, it's a bad team name and it needs to go. When someone said that name was the reason it's gone, your exact words were "don't care." What would you think if you were me and you saw that response? -

Uh huh. I'm what's known in the current indigenous parlance as a "breed." That means I'm half white and half "Indian." I bet you wouldn't be comfortable calling me that former Washington team name to my face. In case you're still wondering, that's why the old name and uniform had to go. -

If it's the 32s, I'm filing a lawsuit. Granted, I'll have to get in a pretty long line behind all the other lawsuits being filed against Dan Snyder. it, money is money.
