ask Paul Lukas.
Well Paul Lukas's opinion doesn't determine what is a popular or unpopular opinion.
Especially since he ramped up taking the NE logo off the side of the hats just so he can sell seam rippers with a uni-watch logo on it.

Not really an unpopular opinion about uniforms, but about a phrase used to describe them:
Calling things “__F__S”, AKA “[Insert term] for [insert term]’s sake,” is dumb. It was sorta okay when it was just BFBS (even though I still didn’t love that terminology), but now I’ll see people use that style of abbreviation with tons of random stuff it really doesn’t need applied to. When you have to follow up the abbreviation with what it stands for, is it really worth using?
Most of the terms uniwatch has coined I really don't care for and hate how much some members of the board here use them (color rash, BFBS, etc....) lately "PBFPBS, which is Powder Blue for Powder Blue Sakes)
You can just say "Remember when the Athletics caved into the Black fad?", "I don't care for the Rangers powder blue uniforms, they're just giving into a fad"

Great logo, I think it's weird that it gets unveiled a year before the next games even begin.
Simple and good, I like the font too.

The old logo has so much more pizazz to it with the neon looking Furnuture.

I like the Phillies look but I'd be lying if I said I like the font that they use. It is too bubbly and looks incredibly dated to me. I am also not a fan of the road look. That looks dated as well.
They made the striping of the cuffs and pants thinner this year on the road, it looks less dated now.
Though, I won't lie that 2's overhang is hideous, I think they could just modify the number font, keep some of the same feel to it,but improve it.

That’s what we heard last time.
Yea and last time a hell of alot more people were watching WWF.
Now? This week's raw got the lowest rating EVER since the show began in 1993.

The other thing is the protest during the anthem is dying off and not getting much attention (I think 3 players are still continuing it) so by 2020 it won't even matter if they are going the patriotic route.

I don't know that I'd say "number should be brighter" is a rule. I think it works fine in the Marlins case, where they want to have a number, but still have most of the attention on the bright-stylized wordmark. Having a basic black number does the job just fine.
Also...
1. The White Sox are one of those teams that does'nt need any white trim on their road uniforms. It's not that it's bad, it's just unnecessary.
2. The Phillies are in the same boat as them as far as having '80s-ish styled road uniform striping:
Yea, really 1972 striping since they seemed to want to carry over the striping from the previous uniforms, but have it around the sleeve cuff instead of the outdated racing stripes style.

When Maryland based teams wear the maryland flag I find it tacky and think it's an ugly flag.
10 years ago when maybe one or two did it, whatever but yea I'm tired of it now.

That is absurd looking once they are wearing pants at the knees or above them
I would gladly choose players wearing the pants to their shoes over that anyday (And I like sock showing but not THAT much, that is if they even are socks)

Pepsi sure liked a cool stripe in 1991 for their logo's.

As much as they are my favorite band, gotta post this. Only on 1 album, which is considered their worst.

I absolutely loathe the cuts of modern uniforms. "Sleek" and "aerodynamic" can eat my ass. One of my favorite things about sports uniforms, football and basketball especially, was the baggy look to them. Nike's football templates in particular are godawful; not only do they make most offensive linemen look like lard-asses, but they've effectively ruined the concept of doing anything cool with the sleeves ever, because why bother when the jerseys are basically sleeveless?
To be fair, while yes I don't like Nike's football uniforms (especially FLAT everything, nothing shiny jersey or pants wise). They didn't ruin the concept of sleeves, that was happening before they took over during when Reebok was doing the uniforms and probably in football in general.
It's funny how like in the 80s baseball has tight fitting uniforms and football had baggy jerseys with big sleeves, now its reversed.

This isn't their current set (or name), but it should be.
I am fine that they aren't called the Devil Rays considering it just says RAYS on that uniform and words better on their uniforms.
Tho yea they should use the Devil Ray for their identity instead of the sunburst.

If that counts, then I guess just about the entire AL West counts.

Haha true, but I believe both were done by the same people/firm which is why I posted it..

Actually, the current logo for Checkers & Rally's does not say the Burgers Fries and Cola in the logo anymore

Also, you would put their current logo, not one of the 80s/90s sign.

It needs a new name. XFL feels so dated. The days of Xtreme!!!!! are over. As a kid born in 2000 I just don't like the name. Glad to see the logo is more tame though
I think if it has a new name, people would mock it by calling it the new xfl anyways.
So might as well call it the XFL!
