The evolution of USFL identities continues with the 2004 New Orleans Breakers.  The Breakers decide that their wave pattern was too 1980's and try to update the look with more of a crashing wave focus.  This is not the final version we will see of a Breakers logo, but will be an intermediary stage between two looks.

So, here is the new primary, a new secondary (which you will recognize from the 2022 USFL), and the new helmets.

Next up, the "1 Day" Texas look followed by their final look, and then one more surprise change for 2004 (which honestly won't be very surprising).   Might be until next week before I upload more, but I might produce a NOR design sheet with their new unis this week.

Just amazing! This is the best version I've seen.

  2. I'm not a fan of the logo but man do I dig these uniforms! Also, I would prefer either stripeless pants or for them to have stripe colors like the white pants on the bottom right, meaning the blue pants have orange on the outside and white in the middle, for example.

    Denver Broncos

I know it's a common trope on thses boards to combine the old & new Broncos logos, but it works so well, I'd figured I'd use it here too.

    • Academy blue helmet from the 1967-96 "Orange Crush" returns, with the above modernized logo.
    • The uniforms are based off of the 1965-67 uniforms, with contrasting sleeves and shoulder loops.
    • Alternate blue uniform gets a throwback 1966 helmet.
    • No throwback for Denver, because the main set is essentially a throwback in and of itself.

Absolutely beautiful! A great mix of old and new.

Moving onto a team that has some close distance to an NFL team.... right before that said team became rape enablers

So Bowling Green got permission from the Browns to use their classic look and this was before they said Deshaun Watson... now the team is essentially stuck with said look as the allegations get worse and worse each day

    Wyoming Cowboys

Long time away, lost the itch for a while but I'm back at it with some new ideas.

First team up (just in time for Governor John Freaking Dutton to assume office) is the Wyoming Cowboys. This is already a pretty good set, a traditional design with some modern touches. Doesn't need any big changes IMO. Updates I did make include:

    • Added a gold helmet to the mix; I think this would look excellent when paired w/ the gold pants, a la Green Bay Packers, LSU, etc.)
    • Changed the logo on the helmet bumper to this excellent "307" area code decal
    • Updated the player name tapes to use the same proprietary font as the numbers
    • Added a "Ride For The Brand" wordmark to the inside of the jersey collars
    • Changed the chest wordmark and player names on the home jersey to white, instead of gold
    • Updated the stripes on the helmet, jerseys, and pants to come to a 'point', which mimics the font style from the uniforms
    • Created a 2nd alternate jersey, which features all-gold lettering on an all-brown set and uses Wyoming's secondary cursive wordmark on the chest

    Comments/feedback welcome!
