I know others were saying they like that MLS teams are starting to use simplified crests for their kits. I noticed Atlanta using one for their goal-scoring graphic, and I gotta say, I really like it. Hopefully it'll be used on the next secondary kit in 2024 and maybe they'll start selling merch with it as well.

They've really been leaning into the spike think lately and I've also been loving it. Snagged this hat at the 2nd game and it's quickly become my favorite. Really hope they use the A-Spike for the crest on the secondary for a few.

  2. Why the hell is Portland wearing pink this weekend? Their dark green shouldn't clash at all with our Reds, especially now that the back aren't black.

They pulled this in the 2018 MLS Cup when they wore their whites.

  3. Alright, with the first official release dates coming up Wednesday I tried to compile as complete of a list as possible with dates and overview of this year's new kits.

First up on today’s leaks, a glimpse at Atlanta’s shorts and socks and a tiny glimpse at Cincy’s new primary shirt:

Those ATL socks + Black shorts + the primary red striped top. HELL YEAH BABY

  5. Saw this floating around Facebook as possible championship logos for each team. Not a fan of my Dawgs one. The collar and the spikes last year was just so spot on and this one misses the mark. The squares + the swooping sofi roof clash to much for my liking.

There is a good chance the authentic version will have black underarm panels.

I like the shirt and it's good that ATL are back in full stripes. Would have liked to see the stripes on the back too.

We tried that in 19/20. Didn't go over well with the fanbase. ButtStripes was a phrase I heard to much around tailgates those seasons.

On the topic of simpler logos, this logo is already being used at CITYPARK. Hopefully this is the uniform badge in 2-3 years.

Somebody swap the navy for black and tell me it doesn't look like an alternate ATL logo. I mean for peats sake, it even has our 5 stripes in it with that simple color swap. Or white and it'll look like the ATL Airport logo

I think the shapes are strong, but they've got to do something to distinguish the arch from the T, or the rivers, or whatever the other lines are suppose to represent.

  8. RE: the UGA Dooley patch. I never thought there was a chance that they drop it totally. Vince meant so much to Kirby alone, so much so that he asked the Dooleys to let him wear Vince's tie after the tech game. Plus the boosters would have rioted.

  9. True true. I just remember fondly back on the Christmas of 2016 when so many people in the city were getting ATLUTD gear for the holidays.

I get that we're still in a logistics/supply chain nightmare, but once it gets back to normal it would be nice if MLS would launch the kits mid December for the holidays. Correct me if I'm wrong but a few European teams launch the new kits at the end of the prior years season right? So it seems possible. Would just take the league office having the will to have it done with Adidas.

Just think of all the horrible "MERRY MLS-MAS" marketing they could do! 😂
