  1. just got it . thank you . it's awesome and i'm ready for my second order now .thy promise to ship by dhl this time

Thanks for the update, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say how concern I was that you'd get your package.

I really wish they would seize more packages. From what I understand, they go after the bulk stuff more, but if they can manage to stop more of the smaller ones coming in than I can only assume it'd be slightly crippling for some of these sites.

Any idea how large the counterfeit market actually is?

acturally .buying counterfeits seems not illegal . but for some real poor fans .10 jerseys buying at 30 bucks for all of their family is better than one authentic one with hundreds of dolloars

If I walk into the grocery store and steal a cart of food for my real poor family, it's steal illegal no matter how poor my family is and how hungry they are. The police aren't going to let me just waltz on home.

  2. I don't think it's so much, "Let's make the Big Ten look like the bad guys," as it is these conferences trying to be more persuasive once something happens. Virginia Tech becomes easier to persuade if UVA bolts as much as Duke would become easier to persuade if UNC were to leave for the Big Ten.

I can't believe a football dominated conference like the SEC would be more interested in Duke over North Carolina or NC State. I'll take your word for it. I've been patiently waiting for your posts to start showing up on this thread.

Still can't believe Duke would join the SEC. They might as well drop football if that were to happen, and I don't think the SEC wants a non-football member.

The SEC isn't going after Duke for it's football power. The thing is, Duke is going to do what Duke wants to do, the ball is in their court so to speak. What's interesting and this is from my understanding, Duke and UNC are a packaged deal (If anyone can confirm or deny that on here, that'd be great). Duke won't bolt without UNC, but there's an off-chance UNC would leave Duke. If UNC isn't picked up by the Big Ten, then I don't know if the SEC would want Duke because they don't want two schools in the same state when they can increase their footprint elsewhere.

  3. Or he may not be, I have reason to believe Virginia Tech will be one of two teams to join the SEC. I'd rather not say as much as I did two summers ago, just to make sure I don't get anyone in trouble as well as right now, there is so much up in the air.

Obvious facts are if one Viriginia school bolts, the other will as well but won't follow the other. The SEC is looking to expand up the east coast, they want a North Carolina school and while NC State has been thrown around, the SEC would prefer Duke. I can confirm that through a Texas A&M booster who is in the know. But, Duke doesn't necessarily prefer the SEC. The SEC also isn't looking to double up in a state. When they offered Oklahoma two summers ago, its why they didn't take OK State.

I'm pretty much going to tell everyone what they already know and tell you that the SEC wants one North Carolina school and Virginia Tech. I can also tell you the SEC doesn't want to be the conference to make the next move. They're waiting on the Big Ten to see what they do and who they take and that'll determine who they go after. I'd be surprised if anything happens before the bowl games.

  4. I completely agree. I can't imagine how ticked I'd be if I ordered a jersey off ebay expecting one thing and get some of these knockoffs instead. I'd be irate.

What I find ridiculous is how people justify buying the product. I didn't even realize how big the counterfeit market was until a few years ago. I had gotten an authentic Blackhawks jersey for Christmas and I'm still pretty proud of the jersey till this day. I'd say sometime in February, a buddy of mine told me he had gotten three authentic jerseys for less than the price of one. I was pretty interested so I went over to his house and when I saw what he had, I couldn't believe he would accept the jersey as a substitute. He even stood up for the jerseys after I showed him mine.

Going to a Bears game is always fun because after lurking here for so long and then becoming a member, I've gained so much knowledge that it's become quite easy to spot the fakes. However, some are just plain obvious. I'm sure many of you know the Bears "Monsters of the Midway" jersey. For the last two years that I've gone to games, there's atleast one person that has that jersey, but the numbers aren't orange, they're RED. Why on Earth would you even wear that in public? If wearing an "authentic" jersey is that important to you that you'd go out and buy a knockoff, then wouldn't you want it to atleast look the same?

I don't buy the whole, "well I'd rather wear a jersey than a t-shirt" arguement either. I've never gone once to a sporting event and judged someone if they were wearing a t-shirt instead of a jersey EXCEPT when that jersey was clearly a counterfiet.

  6. Here we go again. This ebay auction is claiming "100% authentic Nike Elite". Can our posters advise if that's true. Bidding is over $200

I dont have any experience with Nike jersey, but I would think this is the real deal. It seems like it is built with some quality unlike counterfits.

It looks very similar to my jersey and if it's fake, then it's the best counterfeit I've seen.

  7. The name plate also doesn't match. The Bears actual tv numbers aren't the same as the numbers on the jersey, they have more of an oval to them and are a lot fatter.. If you're interested I can shoot you a pm with my elite jersey for comparison, but once you see the two, you can completely tell that's a fake.

That being said, my jersey also had the thin white paper on the numbers.

i remember buying my first jersey on http://www.weiketrade.hk when i google my jordan jersey .and found out it . and placed my order with my paypal .about 1 hours later . they sent me email saying that my payment was sucessful .and in 3 days they will ship my package . they sent my in the fourth day after payment and in another 7 days . i got my jersey .that's awesome for a price of 25 dollars.

You should really consider doing commericals for them cause you're an excellent spokesperson.

  8. I find the people justifying fakes pretty funny. Basically what I've gotten is, "I don't want to wear a t-shirt because it's not 'cool' enough and I don't want to buy a replica cause they look cheap." So buying a cheap Chinese knockoff is the answer? That makes sense. The fact is it's illegal but I guess that doesn't matter to some people because you're "beating the system."

  9. What playoffs are you talking about? If it's National Championship playoffs, yes and if their record is good enough you can bet they will be in it. If you're talking ACC playoffs, no because they're not in the ACC in football.

In my post I described how a conference playoff might work in the ACC if they take UConn. The winners of the three divisions plus a wild card would make the conference playoffs. Do you think if ND had a good enough winning percentage in the five games against ACC teams they should be able to take the wild card spot in this hypothetical conference playoff?

I didn't mean there wasn't playoffs, I understand what you're saying. I'm saying Notre Dame isn't in the ACC for football so they wouldn't be in the playoffs. Hypothetically, I think they could good enough to be the wild card.

  10. Love this thread.

Bears: Grew up in Chicago and I grew up with my dad's side as Bears fans. Unlike most people, my dad actually didn't inspire me, my Grandma did. My Grandma might be the biggest Bears fan I know. You can't call her during games and she's been known to actually unplug her phone when they play.

Blackhawks: We would go to games when I was younger because tickets were easy to get. I've had a love/hate relationship with the Hawks since I can remember. I remember having this Blackhawks jacket in 1st grade and kids would make fun of me because of it. Then when things really got bad with the team, you almost had to hide the fact you were a Hawks fan.

White Sox: Same thing with the Hawks as it was easier to get tickets to White Sox games than it was to get tickets to Cubs games. Besides that fact, my dad's side is actually Cubs fans and they grew up on the Southside. I think I became a Sox fan in sort of a rebellious way.

LSU: The one I get the most questions for and the team I usually get called out on for, which is understandable. While my mom was born in Louisiana and attended Ole Miss while my dad went to school at Florida, it was actually my grandpa who instilled the purple and gold in me. My grandpa's an LSU alum and still lives in Louisiana. He constantly bought me LSU stuff for my birthday and Christmas, while not shoving it down my throat like my dad did with his Gator crap. By the time I really got into sports, I was 13 and LSU was playing for the 2003 National Championship, that 2003 season was the first time I felt such an allegiance to a team. I ended up attending LSU to get a degree in business. It wasn't my first choice though (the business degree) and about halfway through my third semester realized I was wasting my parents money and didn't want to get stuck with a degree for a job I necessarily want. I left after my sophomore year and switched majors, and while I regret leaving the experience behind, I don't regret the decision I made, even I would trade my first two years to have attended there this year in a heartbeat just based on the amount of fun this year has probably been. I know I'll never attend another big university again, so I can't really see another school even coming close to my love for LSU.
