  1. I agree witht the seat color thing and am also going to add trees and planting to the upper concourse to soften it up too.
  2. I will say you are right. It does need a few more pieces of flair on the outside. I will look at that. It may help bring the scale down as wel.
  3. South of South Street here again. For my protest of the Raiders move to Las Vegas I designed my fantasy "keep them in Oakland" stadium. It sits on the triangle formed by Grand, Mandela and Wood Streets in West Oakland. ( I've never been to Oakland so I don't know if this is a good location but it seemed interesting that you could see it from the bay bridge and the interstates). It seats just under 70k and has no seat for Mark Davis. I went with SAP as the corporate sponsor kept the "coliseum" name in lieu of stadium or field. I used the cookie cutter days of stadium design as my stepping off point and thought of the seating as "wrapped" in a net of stone that acts as the architecture for the interior spaces. I have not yet completed the interior public space renderings yet. But soon! And of course I have no idea where everyone will park. a few answers to questions I always get. 1. These take a enormous amount of time. Keep in my that I am an Architect. 2. I use autocad, autodesk max and a lot of photoshop. South of South Street
  4. Great work with thenTemple stadium designs. Have you thought of doing one for the Turner Field football conversion?

No.   I have been thinking that my next one would be either the Raiders or Chargers for football, or a new Dodgers Stadium.   Sorry it took so long to reply.

  5. Thanks. Have you checked out my other stadium concepts on these boards. I've done quite a few. DC United Minnesote Vikings Philadeljpia Athletics Philadelphia Phillies Sixers/Fliers Northwestern University Football Kansas City Chiefs Miami Dolphins
  6. I have added in the night shot and a shot Broad Street looking at the stadium from directly across the street.
  7. It looks like with the curved nature of the sides, a kind of bandshell is created, directing the noise inward. Look at the overhead. The other thing is the height of the press boxes and suites will more than likely reflect any noise back into the stadium. I would agree with that.
  8. Yes was thinking that there would be "red colored" bushes there as a barrier but I never got to it. Probably a gate or something as well.
  9. There are quite a few stadiums with the rounded upper edge and I do see the similarities but those are unintentional. Thanks. I use Autocad, AutodeskMax, and Photoshop. Keep in mind that I am an Architect and these take quite a long time to do though. But I appreciate your comment.
  10. So, it has been awhile since I posted a Stadium Concept. To be clear, I did not go to Temple (NJIT and UPenn). However I decided to strike while the iron is hot. So if you click on the images below you will see my concept for a new Temple Stadium at the SW corner of Broad and Norris on Temple's campus in north Philadelphia (just a few block north of my Philadelphia Athletics Stadium concept). The idea is a 35,000 seat stadium with opposing arched press boxes and a curved top edge seating bowl with end zone seats to the west under a scoreboard. From above it sort of does look like set of wings and a tail (not intentional). The design is a modern version of a classic seating arrangement but with more "architecture" wrapping it and holding it in place. Two things first. 1. I don't know where everyone will park. 2. I I'm not saying they need a stadium, just showing a concept. All comments are welcome.
  11. It has taken me quite a long time to get to the point where I can do these designs.......... And do them in my spare time. But they are fun and fulfilling. More to come soon too.
  12. Thanks. I use Autocad and Autodesk Max with alot of Photoshop.
  13. Its been awhile but here is my concept for a Soccer only stadium for the DC United in the Buzzard Point area of DC adjacent to the Anacostia River. The design is for a 24,000 seat place that had deep overhangs and lots of space to see the pitch from the concourse area. Comment are always welcome! -South of South Street
