Red, white, and a dark purple would have been a nice compromose though...
This. It's a travesty they dumped purple.
I agree. I would love to see someone make a mock-up with their old colors.
EDIT: Someone made a mock-up with the roundel.
I'm not sure there's a need for the extra colours of grey and red.
That looks amazing and that proves that the color change wasn't necessary.

I like it! All the new bats are great.
Are those bats dotting the "i"s in "Louisville"?
Monograms should never include the mascot's initials, though. Points off.
And how pathetic is it that teams are now introducing their flag-desecration unforms as part of the regular unveiling? Save it for a "special" announcement, boys. No need to foul the nest right away.
Yes, the bats are dotting the "I"s in Louisville.

And it's official...the Louisville Bats are switching to red, white and blue.
Red, white and blue are traditional colors...for the REDBIRDS. Black and purple were the Bats' tradition, and they will be back in three years' time, I predict.
I like the logo and font on the new identity but the color scheme is a huge downgrade. I would like to see this in their old colors though.

I like the Jags gold jersey more than the teal uniforms and should wear it more often (but not full monochrome)

Don't tell me if this is the new logo for the Louisville Bats.

Reggie Wayne with the Patriots (15 seasons with the Colts)

I don't see the Yankees uniform you are referring to, but my pick would have to be this:
I actually like these to be honest.

Sun Belt:
Arkansas State, UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, South Bama, Troy, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Appalachian State
Independents:
Air Force, Navy, Army
Why for the Changes:
- Big 12 dissolves and the members have to scramble to find a conference (All but TCU went to a Power Conference)
- Federal Investigation over UAB's shutdown reveals corruption in the Alabama Board of Trustees and forces the BoT to support the football program
- All Independents are the service academics due to US law.
- The Pac-16 is split East-West in response to adding the Southwest 4 (Texas, OU, Ok.State, TTU) for geographical purposes.
- The ACC is perfectly split North-South; Adds Notre Dame and WVU for National brands.
- SEC adds Kansas and Baylor to strengthen Basketball in the conference
- Big 10 adds KSU and ISU to extend the BIG Network's reach and thus put IU and Purdue in the same division.
- The American adds UMass, TCU, and USM to put the conference to 14; Splits to East-West
- The Mountain West loses Air Force, but gains BYU, NMSU, and Idaho for geographical purposes
- C-USA adds Texas State in response to losing USM
- Sun Belt loses NMSU, Idaho, and Texas State to return the conference to 8 teams (saved a lot of money in travel costs though )

This is getting a huge bump because UAB's football program might be shut down.
If UAB shuts down, could Conference-USA drop UAB for that?
This article says they will. The C-USA would then have an even number of teams, but damn this sucks for UAB.
Actually, I thought Charlotte is a member of C-USA and will play a full-conference schedule next year. That would make it 13 teams and you get the problem the MAC has. C-USA should add James Madison or Liberty to even the number of teams.

This is the most underrated uniform in College Football. It's modern, but clean and the grey helps separate them from BYU.
-
Sorry about the bump. The ACC and Big Ten welcome Louisville, Maryland, and Rutgers respectively into their conferences today.

I see, it fits with the many fruit teams in minor league baseball like the Biscuits in Montgomery
The last time I checked, a biscuit isn't a fruit.

This might be very unpopular, but I actually prefer the 1997-2000 Blue Jays set to the currents. I think the red helps with the consistency of the set (I love the currents though).

I know how it feels to lose someone close and I send my condolences to you, ren69. But I happy to see you back and these logos are amazing!
-
I would love to see you do an update on the classic Louisville dunking cardinal.
This is perfect! Amazing work ren69!

Sorry if I'm bugging you, but are you working on the vintage Louisville logo a couple of pages back?
Not yet but I'll get to it soon.
I also don't want to bug you, and I know you are getting a tremendous amount of requests (and doing an amazing job with them), but thought I would also check to see if you are able to work on an update for the vintage University of Tulsa Huffy mascot logo on pg 13 (next page after the referenced Louisville logo). Thanks in advance.
You know, I looked & looked at that logo trying to figure out how I could improve it but basically it's already a nice logo & just needs a clean up treatment. Guess I can say the same for the Louisville Cardinals logo but we'll see how they turn out once they're done. I will work on it here pretty soon also. Thanks for following the thread.
Thanks and hopefully they turn out well!

Cannot BELIEVE that no one has requested Mike the Tiger from LSU's helmet =)
This one was kinda tuff also. Hope I did it justice!
This is absolutely amazing! Send this to LSU, plaster that logo onto everything and call it a day!

MLB Realignment:
AL East:
New York Yankees
Boston Red Sox
Toronto Blue Jays
Baltimore Orioles
Cleveland Indians
AL Central:
Chicago White Sox
Indianapolis Speed (Tampa Bay Rays relocation)
Kansas City Royals
Detroit Tigers
Minnesota Twins
AL West:
LA Angels of Anaheim
San Jose A's (Moved from Oakland)
Seattle Mariners
Texas Rangers
Houston Astros
NL East:
New York Mets
Philadelphia Phillies
Miami Marlins
Atlanta Braves
Washington Nationals
NL Central:
Cincinnati Reds
St.Louis Cardinals
Chicago Cubs
Pittsburgh Pirates
Milwaukee Brewers
NL West:
LA Dodgers
San Fran Giants
Arizona D-Backs
San Diego Padres
Colorado Rockies
In my opinion, the Tampa Bay Rays will relocate to Indianapolis in the future to become the Indianapolis Speed. With the relocation, Indy and Cleveland agree to swap divisions with the Speed in the AL Central and the Tribe in the AL East. Also the A's successfully move out of Oakland and into San Jose with intense politically-charged talks against the Giants.

I don't like the Chihuahuas name very much but it is not due to racism. It's just too immature and it doesn't reflect the state of Texas very well. I really don't know why they didn't considered calling them the Aggies, Ranchers, or Stampede. All those names are far more aggressive, more professional, and easier to identify with Texans than the Chihuahuas. Desert Gators and Sun Dogs are just too generic for me and they don't bring any local pride. The logos though are very nice and solid looking.
Your Favorite Teams?
in Sports In General
Posted
Here are my favorite teams:
NFL: Indianapolis Colts- I've been supporting the Colts as long as I've been alive and the Manning era solidified my love for the Colts. My favorite all-time Colts are Peyton Manning and Bob Sanders (for his heart on every play). I suffered through constant playoff losses in the early 2000's and then the Colts finally beat the Patriots in the 2006 AFC Title game (still had memories about Marlin Jackson's INT) and won the Super Bowl. Even when Peyton left, my support hasn't waviered at all.
Minnesota Vikings- I support the Vikings as my #2 team is that the Vikes fit what I like in a #2 team and of course, Teddy Bridgewater.
MLB: Tampa Bay Rays- I have been a Rays fan even before 2008, but was too shy about it due to the bandwagoning Red Sox fans (and their futility). When 2008 happened, I finally showed my true support for them when they made it to the World Series (and then lost ). I've always loved the way the Rays keep winning despite their lower payroll against AL East rivals especially Boston and New York. So my favorite Ray is easily Evan Longoria because he has meant so much to the Rays franchise (2011 Game 162 comes to mind) and is the first true "superstar" the franchise has had. I've also like Kevin Kiermaier and Chris Archer. Even though I have been to a Rays spring training game and to Tropicana Field (in a tour), I still haven't been to a regular season game in St.Pete.
Cincinnati Reds- Closest MLB team to where I live and been to a few of their games.
NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins- I am a huge fan of Sidney Crosby and Mario Lemieux (and also their history).
NBA: Orlando Magic- I was already drawn to the Magic due to players like McGrady and Dwight Howard in addition to staying in Orlando during spring break when I was little so I was constantly watched the Magic. Also, I love the old Orlando Magic uniforms that they wore in the 1990's by stars like Shaq and Penny Hardaway. My favorite player from the Magic is Nikola Vucevic with Penny Hardaway and Victor Oladipo in the Top 3. Finally, I went to see a game in Orlando on March 29 of this year and the atmosphere was great actually (even if it was against the Nets).
NCAA: Louisville Cardinals- When you live in Kentuckiana (area in Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky), you either pick Louisville or Kentucky (especially in basketball). So I chose Louisville and looking back, I have made the right choice and been to many UofL sporting events even if I didn't attend there. My favorite UofL athletes are Russ Smith, Teddy Bridgewater, and Jeff Thompson (attended my high school actually).
Minor League teams: Louisville Bats- Local professional baseball team in Louisville and I attend as many games as I can.
Louisville City FC- Local soccer team and I desperately want to attend a soccer game there.
