And FSU to the Big 12 will fire up very soon. Especially if Maryland goes.
The Big XII better take Louisville with FSU.
You don't bring anything to the table.
Top 25 football team, Powerhouse Men's Basketball team, Rising Women's basketball power.

I don't really get how members hate it, but the new Astros logo is so much better than their previous look.

Since we're discussing Oregon uniforms in an "unpopular opinions" thread:
I think this is by far their best look ever. As in, this uniform is miles and miles better than any of the "modern" stuff they wear now.
I have a feeling that'll be an unpopular opinion on these boards.
I agree with you. The more "innovative" they try to get, the worse they look.
The one flaw I could see is them being accused of beongtoo similar to the Packers.
There's no striping, the numbers are yellow, and Oregon uses a noticeably different shade of green. I don't think I'd worry about that.
But yeah, this is the best Oregon has ever looked IMO.
I love that Oregon look, but I would change the helmet to an Yellow "O" instead of the "UO".

Not being too much of a homer, but these have to be one of the best CBB uniforms ever.
Also, I felt Oregon looked really good against Wildcats
Lastly, I felt the White Ops helmet of Maryland needed a tad bit more of color.

Is it just me or is board acting up?

And what, again, does the Big XII get from shelling out $100 million on Florida State and Clemson? I'm pretty sure it doesn't make the league stronger.
Not being a homer, but I have a question; Would it be more likely for the BIG XII to get Louisville or Florida State?

Per ESPN.. Notre Dame is joining the ACC in all sports but football and hockey. However they will play five games a year in football against ACC teams.
The move will happen as soon as they can.
I felt that ESPN and Digger Phelps helped moved ND to the ACC.

The new Knicks uniforms aren't that bad.
Agreed. I don't get all the hate.
Thirded! Decent old style feel without copying anything. All the hate seems to be very petty, numbers too thin, bad word mark etc.
The Knicks went to the safe route and worked out pretty good.

After watching the Highlights of Oregon-Arkansas State, I love the uniforms for Oregon. Although the helmets need improvement, the Jerseys and Pants are fantastic.
-
Huge News, ND will join the Big 10 in 2013.
Edit: It's a hoax and I'm very sorry I didn't know better.

Probably unpopular, but I didn't mind the Giants in red as an alternate. It wasn't a true throwback but it brought back an old look for them.
Is that Thomas Landry as in the Cowboys Legendary Coach, Tom Landry?
Yes, as a New York Giant during his days as a player.

If the Timberwolves make some changes and possible add a green alt, they could have one of the nicer sets in the NBA.
-
Carl Crawford as a Red Sox. Carl will be forever be a Ray.
-
I think Kentucky has one of the nicer uniforms in college football. The changes I would make is switch the black with grey (Replace Black with Grey uniforms) and remove the racing stripes from the shoulders. I would put them into Louisville's uniforms as Louisville is the Derby City. If they followed these changes, they would look amazing. And thats coming from a Louisville fan.
-
This is the best uniform in the NBA. I'm not sure HOW unpopular this opinion is, but it's definitely polarizing.
I agree. I get why people don't like it, but I still love it.
The most underrated uniform in the NBA, right up with Boston and Chicago.
-
I think the Marlins new uniforms are perfect for the city of Miami because of the colors fit the nightlife enviornment at night. These are one of the better uniforms in the NL along with St.Louis and LA.
-
I agree because it ruins the regular season to the point that it won't matter anymore. For example, a BCS No.4 who hasn't won their conference could win the Nat'l championship. That is the explanation why I think the playoff system is for college basketball not for football.

Memphis Joining the Big East for all sports in 2013. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1057255-big-east-conference-realignment-memphis-reportedly-set-to-join-big-east-in-2013 This could be interesting especially, they're joing in football. Overall, this is a great pickup for the Big East because they improve the Big East in basketball and revive their rivalry with Louisville, which was intense in basketball.
Please don't link to bleacher report. In fact, stop reading bleacher report.
I'm guessing the Big East is seeing the writing on the wall and knowing its only future as a football conference (if any) is providing a place for basketball-oriented schools to park their less popular football programs. I'd look for them to go after Kansas next.
Imagine a basketball conference with Memphis, Kansas, Louisville, and Uconn. If the Big East lands Kansas, they become the basketball verson of the SEC with teams like Memphis, Louisville, and Uconn alongside Kansas. Kansas is a better basketball program than Syracuse and Pitt and bring unhearlded tradition to the Big East. It's not likely to happen, but Kansas needs to have new rivals in the Big East if they move there. If they do move, they should be rivals of Memphis because of geographical proximty. I also see them as rivals to Uconn and Louisville as these two programs won multiple national titles and have excellent coaches. My worry though is the football program with Charlie Weis. Like Memphis, Kansas doesn't have a talented football program and they could get slaughtered by teams like Rutgers. At least, the Big East is easier than the Big XII and they also have some BCS success with a win at the 2008 Orange Bowl. Overall, this could a great pickup with Memphis as it improves their basketball standing and eventually improve the football tradition.

navy to big east in 2015...football only
Isn't the bigger question if there will be a Big East Conference in any form in 2015?
The Big East could have USF, Uconn, UofL, WVU (if they stay), Boise St., San Diego St., Navy, Cincy, Houston, SMU, UCF, and possibly Air Force.

MLB: Tampa Bay Rays- I've been a fan since '05 and love Joe Maddon. Before 2008, I have been shy about cheering them because of their losing past. When they win, I'm always happy and if they lose, we always have tommorow. I might be the only Rays fan in the state of Indiana and I always see the Rays on TV no matter what. My favorite moment is when Evan Longoria hit the home run to send the Rays to the playoffs for the third time in four years.
NCAA: Louisville Cardinals- The Cardinals are a local team and alway show pride and honor in basketball. I've got upset when Louisville lost to Rutgers in '06 (National Championsip with win) but was happy with a win in the Orange Bowl. I've been to a few games at Freedom Hall and was impressed with a racious fanbase.
NCAA: Indiana Hoosiers- Only when they're good.
NCAA: Purdue Boilmakers- My brother is going to school there and when they play Indiana.
NFL: Indianapolis Colts- I've been a Colts fan for life. Ever since I was young, Watching games with my family is a tradition but not as much this year. Peyton Manning is my Fav. player on the Colts.

Can't wait to get off the sinking ship that is the BE. If Louisville goes, the Big XII better bring Cincinnati or Boise State. Cincy has the rivalry factor and Boise, for many years, a staple for the BCS.
