The Gladiators almost resemble Toledo now

I think every North American sport should follow suit with the MLS. Do away with divisions and just have conferences.

MLB

An AL and NL "conference" only after two more teams are added to have 16+16. Do away with the dumb interleague play.

NFL

An AFC and NFC Conference. 16+16, each team plays every other team in conference once and three more games as the old rivalries. 18 games over 19 weeks, taking away two preseason games. Top 6 from each make playoffs.

NHL

Eastern and Western Conference at 16+16. Simple top 8 in each go to playoffs. Switch to a simple W-L format getting rid of the points system.

CFL

Put all 10 teams in one division when Halifax is added. Play each team home and home, simple 18 game schedule. Top 6 make playoffs.

NBA

East and West Conference. Top 8 from each make playoffs.

Just watched a whole weekend of free games on AHLTV. I was really impressed with the video quality and commentating. Definitely worth the $80 for the whole season! I'm signing up now!

Until the ECHL becomes realstic with their prices, I think I'm going to watch AHL.

Ah, my big pet peave... Why does the ECHL charge an insane amount of money for ECHLTV? AHLTV is half the price. 

I wish the Cyclones would pay the fee and move up to the AHL (when a spot becomes available). I think there could be a nice rivalry with the Monsters.

I like seeing the Nailers back where they should be, alignment wise. They always had a good rivalry with the Cyclones.

Alignment is all set up for Dayton to come back. Would love to see the Bombers return.

Sounds about on par with the minor league hockey scheduling system. The ECHL makes no sense.

Maybe they are working out a deal to move the Mavericks to be St. Louis' AHL affiliate in 2018-19?

The Cyclones have announced an affiliation with Rochester and Buffalo.

Well hell. At least I got to see them play the Cyclones a couple years ago in the Kelly Cup Finals. 

Sad to see Elmira leave too. 

I agree with everyone, I think Portland ME will have an ECHL team soon. Only fitting they become the Pirates, if so.

Well since those cities are out, I bet he snags up one of the ECHL teams left out West. I'm sure one of those owners would take a buy-out. You would be dumb not to, with that kind of money.

The IceMen are on voluntary suspension from the ECHL, while they work out their arena issue...

Something tells me this is the last of the IceMen. Considering the voluntary suspensions went well for Columbia and Las Vegas.

I could see the Colorado Eagles move up and become their team.

Yeah, I agree, I was just stating with how teams are doing it these days. I say you give them a couple years and the Barracuda will be in Oakland or San Francisco

I agree. That's the reason why I quit going to Blue Jackets games. I can go to 4 Cyclones games for the same price. I know the ECHL will never be on par with the play in the NHL. But, I get to see a lot of prospects come through the organization. Scott Darling just to name a few.

Im glad my local team is in the ECHL. Whats the point of having an AHL team anymore? They drop like flies.

Cliff notes summary:  ECHL Evansville team can't agree to lease, decides to move to Owensboro, Kentucky.  Evansville proceeds to replace them with an SPHL team, giving Peoria a "travel partner" that is only 2 hours closer than the next closest team in the league.

Hmm Louisville gets an ECHL team. Im betting they go with a horse theme.

The Cyclones have been playing a lot of home and home series' as well. One not too long ago was against Quad City. Those two aren't very close either.
