Or was it like this?
This one

Anybody remember NBA Bask-et? It was a game with a cardboard hardwood floor set in a board game box. On the board was a bunch of holes (for a ping pong ball to fall in). You had spring levers on the side and baskets on both sides. Me and my brother use to play that for hours.
...or the VCR series lol
VCR Quarterback
VCR Basketball

Back in the 80s me and my brother invented a game using baseball cards, dice, and a baseball field painted on a sheet of plywood. Would use the old knothole score books to keep track. Was lots of fun until RBI Baseball came out on the NES.

Wow, just looked at the price of ECHLtv subscriptions... Are they completely crazy, or what? Why would anyone pay those prices to watch "AA" hockey?
-
Guess it's safe to say the Moose will be back and around for awhile...
Probably a good bet. As long as they stay in Manitoba (one of the few advantages to state/provincial names).
I hope, I miss the logo/name. One of the best that has ever been in hockey.
As for the restructure, if they are going to do it, then they shouldn't half as it. Do it clear across the board throughout all the hockey minors.

So, if that's true then the Cyclones will strictly be affiliated with the Predators/Admirals. Sounds good to me.
-
Brampton will be lucky to have a team in the ECHL next year. I think that's what they had in mind with the realignment. The Cyclones can easily be put in the North in their place.
-
Return of the Moose! Maybe Winnipeg should look into basing their AHL affiliate in Saskatoon? Saskatoon Moose has a nice ring to it!
-
Cinci gets AAA level attendance... kinda. They're averaging 4,330 this season. I could see that number falling with a bump to AHL prices. There are 10 teams in the A that are currently averaging less than the Cyclones. One of those (Utica) is averaging 3,707 in a barn that only holds 4,000 while three (Worcester, Adirondack, and Oklahoma City) won't even be in the A next year.
But can the ownership handle it? That's the more important question. Is there ownership out there willing to field a AAA team in Cincinnati? C
The current Cyclones owners could handle it. They go out of their way to promote the team. There was rumors going around Cincy when Winnipeg reclaimed the Jets (that they were interested in trying to move up). U.S. Bank Arena could definitely handle the AHL. Heck, the Gardens did for years with the Mighty Ducks (and that place still looks like it's in the 40's).
-
Well if anything the "AAA" NHL league needs to follow suit of the "AAA" MLB league. I think we can all agree upon that. I'm just hoping one of these days the Cyclones move up to "AAA" where they were for almost a decade. Cincinnati can handle it.
-
I think three individual leagues going CHL style would make sense. You basically have three groups already. West, Midwest, and Northeast
-
My thoughts exactly. Reason why I just go to Cyclones games. Haven't been to a Blue Jackets game in years. Too damn expensive.
At least these guys in the ECHL aren't pampered and have houses beyond their means. I'll pay cheaper prices and watch the next big thing. I've seen numerous guys who have made the big time come through Cincy.

...I miss the IHL of the 90's

That story's from May 20, 2014. The team announced a few weeks ago that it was folding.
What I thought too. I should've read the date. What is weird though, is that Las Vegas' logo icon (at the top of the page) was absent for a long time. Now, it's back on there.

So, I noticed the Las Vegas Wranglers are coming back for 15-16. Interesting considering they were "done." Possible AHL dreams for their future?

Cool. Nice to see the big group in San Diego

Teams play every other team in their conference each year (switching home field each season)
Week 17 would be "Rank Game Week" (16 at 15, 14 at 13, and so on)
Weeks 10 and 11 would be bye weeks (one for AFC, one for NFC - would flip flop each season)
Top 7 teams from each conference qualify for playoffs (with only #1 seed getting bye - this would make Week 17 really exciting)
Preseason games would be strictly out of conference.
.... I guess only in a perfect world.

How about they have a logo of Stockton on fire? Show the city financially strapped after the Flames leave town and leave lots of fans burnt. ...
-
Stockton pretty much screwed the pooch... They could've solidified a future if they stayed in the ECHL.
-
What's wrong with having a minor league team (and supporting them)? I can go to 6 Cyclones games for the price of 1 Blue Jackets game. That's just for the tickets. Not including food and gas.
Sure, these guys are nowhere near as good as NHL'ers. But, it's live hockey. Living in Southern Ohio (a place where hockey is a myth), I'll take it!
-
Sucks to see the Cincy-Toledo rivalry go. But, should make way for some new ones in Indiana and Quad City.
If Brampton folds (as expected), then I can see the Cyclones moving into the North.

I wonder if they get paid the same as all the other players, in other divisions? If so, that is more fuxxed up. What's more f'd up is it's giving their NHL counterparts a slight advantage.
