It might belong in the Unpopular Opinions thread, but I like the Canucks' chest numbers.

I think for NCAA College teams, front numbers are a cool look. It works because a lot of times the primary logo is a script of their location.

  2. I recognize that font. One of the Bruins 1st Winter Classic jerseys, the yellow one, was very popular.

Early Ray Bourque era throwbacks with their new old font will probably be a great look.

If they bring back the yellow socks, it will be great to finally see those make a return. They should have never changed that because now the current socks are exactly the same as the Penguins.

Yeah like... most AHL teams have better facilities.

I guess a locker room that's worse then some local rink communal locker rooms is acceptable if it means Quebec can't have a team though.

Laval Rocket have a larger attendance and more seats. And that's just a suburb of Montreal.

The League though is banking that buck with Arizona TV network money, even though the ratings are weak as usual.

Honestly, if I were a player on the Coyotes, I'd rather play in a packed barn of 5,000 than in front of 13,000 empty seats every night. With the building being filled with fans who care enough to show up, I bet the energy is pretty electric, too.

The team had to reduce tickets prices though because they risk struggling to fill those 5000 seats. If they have to go out of their way to try to fill half of a regular arena, the enthusiasm for the Coyotes isn't all that great.

So the Wild are now the worst defensive team in the league? 14 goals allowed in two games.

The Canucks (Vancouver happens to be Bedard's home town) haven't won a game yet, after 6 games.

I knew my Habs would have lots of competition in the Bedard Derby. But some teams I did not expect to be this bad. The Oilers could add another generational stud to their roster that's still devoid of a passable goaltender for the playoffs and regular season.

I saw this for the first time during TNT's broadcast of the Kraken game last night.

It's distracting to see different ads from the main camera (the fake ads) and close-ups/replays (what's printed on the boards). It really makes you hyper fixate on the ads instead of the gameplay.

    So I guess it's working.

It's absolutely working....at making me change the channel.

No need for motion sickness, when I could watch the MLB Playoffs, instead.

Maybe I'm just used to it after all these years, but NASCAR ads are nowhere near as distracting.

Big 4 sports jerseys have a certain aesthetic appeal, to make large sales. Most fans refuse to buy jerseys with ads of them. Merch sales overall are a bit different, compared to Nascar.

At least there's no flashing ads during races to steal attention away from the racecars every 2 seconds.

The fact that millions of people are going to watch a league with this and uniform ads is unreal. The NHL should go full NASCAR uniforms and put sponsors in the team names just to see how far you can take things

I understand companies need to make money. They need ads to promote their product. But there's a way to do so without insulting your paying customers that tune in to watch their team play. To disrupt to the entire game is taking it too far.

Even though they're still making a ton of money, companies are still mad that viewers use commercials for bathroom breaks, to go get a snack, or when they play music over the intermission ads in restaurants. So now, they're trying new ways to make sure that their ads are shoved down our throats.
