Jerseys worn for every game are picked out prior to the season starting and no one knew this would be a primetime game till this week so they probably picked out the white and are unable to change it now.
I know they are, but these were two playoff teams last season with even higher hopes this year, so it was very likely that this was gonna be a late afternoon or night kickoff, where heat/sun would not be a factor in January.
Regardless of kickoff time, Miami hasn’t worn white at home in its finale since 2014, which is why this is puzzling.

White at home for the Dolphins in January for what was obviously going to be a game with playoff implications and become a night game. This is extremely disappointing and has me scratching my head.

In theory yeah but think they did color rush and black 3x a few years back (2021?).
Last season as well.

Reminder that while the Saints do sometimes wear black on gold when the Panthers or Bucs come to town, they have not worn that combo against Atlanta since the 2007 season.
I’m expecting to see the Ravens in black again on Saturday. It’s only been worn twice and they always wear it three times and usually vs. Pittsburgh. They wore it back to back weeks last season and may do so again. I’d rather see Color Rush purple for this one.

I would be shocked if Miami didn’t wear aqua for this game.

Each LA team is wearing white on yellow for just the second time all season. This is especially a head scratcher for the Rams, who seemed to love this look after the Super Bowl.
I am glad the Chargers are finally wearing this combo at Denver though.

Big shout out to Brock Purdy and Kyle Juszczyk being the only offensive starters for San Fran to wear the proper red socks
The fact that we have to shout out players for wearing their uniform the correct way is ridiculous.

All white with aqua socks for Miami today. Their pregame post seemed to indicate aqua pants.
They made and deleted a separate post specifically saying it was aqua pants. They have done this before a couple times over the years.
I was fully expecting aqua since they beat the Ravens in them last year and won their last game in them this year by 30.

The Panthers should’ve worn this combo against the Falcons or Saints. Instead this game will look like the Titans Dolphins Monday night game.

It has become so disheartening to watch the Lions' uniform combinations devolve into full-on Cardinals/Commies territory.
It makes me appreciate the more traditional teams even more: Packers, Bears, 49ers, Steelers, Raiders, Chiefs, Cowboys, Giants...
With these teams holding steady, I still believe the NFL looks good far more than it looks bad. The Bears haven't messed around with monochrome this year, the Chiefs haven't gotten cute, and the return of all of these amazing throwbacks offsets the usual leotard and sock shenanigans.
The worst part about the Lions situation is that they won their division for the first time in three decades during their worst uniform season ever, which will inevitably generate a positive association in most people's brains with these mono looks.

Saints confirmed black pants at Tampa Bay, which means white on gold will not be worn this season.
On a more positive note, this will be the first time since 2020 that the Bucs will wear red for a 1pm home game.

Cowboys will unfortunately be in white pants instead of gray this week. Waiting for the Lions to announce all white as well to make this look even worse.
I hate that this is their preferred navy jersey look now. The Panthers, Patriots and Lions also don’t like wearing silver pants with their home jerseys. I don’t get it.

Took the Titans SIX YEARS to wear this combo at Houston.

I knew this would happen after their performance Saturday. Was hoping they’d switch it up and go black pants at Arrowhead this time.

Ravens wearing all-white...really wish the Niners hadn't chosen tonight to wear their throwbacks with white pants.
This is 100% on the Ravens. Purple pants were the clear best choice.

Fantastic looking game, yes, but part of me wishes the Fins would’ve worn the white version of this throwback (they have that, right?) so we could see the Cowboys in blue and to continue the troll job of forcing them to wear the uniforms they hate.
I agree it would’ve been nice to see the navy jerseys, but they don’t hate them. In fact, they are choosing to wear them for multiple home games this year.

Colts Falcons may be the single most boring uniform matchup in NFL history.
-
Jets are wearing green for the fourth straight game and will wear it again next week at Cleveland.
I hope Washington wears burgundy pants and white socks.

Can you give any specific examples?
Falcons wear all-white only when the opposing team wears all-black.

Maybe TEN wears the columbia blue pants. They did last year when playing Denver when the Broncos busted out navy pants to go with their white jersey. The Titans are one of the teams who are good about minimizing similar colors as the opponent. Except for one time when they played the Texans.
Titans combo always comes out on Wednesday and navy pants was confirmed. Which time are you referring to against the Texans? They have worn navy pants against them numerous times.

No Purple pants?
I had faith in this team since they generally do an okay job choosing pant colors. Instead it will be double white pants and socks for the whole world to see on Christmas night.

Bills are finally breaking the streak of wearing the winning combo. Not surprised it was white on blue that they chose not to wear again since that look is frowned upon for whatever reason, but at least the blue socks are back.
Other teams should take note that you can wear contrasting socks and no one will stop you from putting "iced out " in the caption.

We badly need a 1pm September Giants at Eagles game next season. At least the green jerseys were worn for that playoff game last season.

Looks like the Saints finally realized how dumb those black helmets look.

2023 NFL Season week by week uniform match-up combos: From HOF Game to Super Bowl LVIII

So the Ravens go from four alternate jersey games to just two. I like this a lot, considering their regular home uniforms are far superior.
