I’m curious what they’ll do for this game. They haven’t had a night home opener since they started wearing white at home for their opener. This will be a good indication of whether or not it’s a heat thing or they just like doing it regardless.
I’m also curious how much of the blue pants we’ll see this year. They stopped wearing them with the white jersey after the loss to Jacksonville last season, but they brought them back on Thanksgiving with the blue jersey. -

Really not too horrid, just very greyscale. Almost like the Raiders lack of color makes the Jags tealless aways look less out of place. Regardless, just one more year of these unis for the Jags (bring me teal numbers, baby)
Teal socks too, and maybe some sort of stripe on the pants and sleeves. I honestly miss the color integration of these uniforms. Helmet aside, they at least had some personality and utilized some teal and gold:

Luckily the Jaguars host the Raiders in November too and will likely be in teal. Should be a great looking matchup, as long as they wear a reasonable pant and sock combo.

There is no way the Jaguars don't wear all white in the summer in Ohio.
The game is in the evening. I'd say black pants are more than possible. Teal is the least likely.

Week 1:
BUF blue/white at LAR white/sol
PIT black/gold at CIN white/white
PHI white/white at DET blue/gray
BAL purple/white at NYJ white/white
NO black/gold at ATL white/white (could also see Atlanta wearing black white and NO in white/white)
CLE brown/white at CAR white/white
SF white/gold at CHI navy/white
NE navy/navy at MIA white/white (gonna guess regular white for MIA, not throwback)
JAC white/black at WAS burgundy/burgundy
IND blue/white at HOU white/white
GB white/gold at MIN purple/white
NYG blue/white at TEN white/navy (really hope the late afternoon kickoff inspires TEN to wear navy or light blue like in 2017)
LV black/silver at LAC white/white
KC white/red at ARI red/white (rare occasion where I'd welcome Arizona in black, but it's not likely in Week 1)
TB red/pewter at DAL white/mint (could also see Tampa in red/white)
DEN white/white at SEA navy/navy

No predictions here, but curious if my Falcons ever wear the red pants -- I have a hunch that by this point those were shown off as a fashion option in their unveil but don't exist. Afterall, we never saw the red pants in anything other than graphic renderings -- not in the video unveil -- and I am convinced they were never actually produced. Also, almost positive the red helmets are returning to go with the 1966 throwbacks (even though I actually think the mashup throwbacks were incredible).
But, since no major changes in ATL from the roster-up I assume their habits stay the same, which means black over white at home and white over black at home. Their resistance to monochrome last season was a welcomed surprise and really makes a big difference. I actually think their uniforms are great, they just don't look good without the jersey-pant contrast. Would love if they added a grey pant for select games which would tie things together really well, but I've actually enjoyed how their grey facemasks now (not chrome, but more kind of that same satin finish) are a nice modern rendition of the grey facemasks that were completely normal (not to mention celebrated by some people on these boards) in the earlier eras.
Falcons are going to continue to shift from "worst unis in the league" to "honestly they aren't that bad" thanks to 1) wearing the right combos 2) bringing back the throwback helmets 3) other teams just continuing to choose to go full mono-white and dilute their looks and 4) Washington lmao
Really curious to see if Atlanta opens up the year with white at home against the Saints like they did vs. Philly in Week 1 last season. Would love to see the Saints in black over gold against Atlanta, which I think would likely happen.
I'm also curious when they'll wear the gradient, since they only wore it in London last season. Wouldn't mind seeing it against Chicago in Week 11 to add some color to that matchup. It was pretty rough in 2020.
And please tell me the throwback will be with the red helmet this year and not not until 2023.

Looking at this Bucs schedule, we can realistically expect a lot of red for once. The first two games are on the road against teams that will likely be in white at home. And then they play two home prime time games, a London game, and a Week 9 late afternoon kickoff all in the first half of the season!
I predict it will be
Red at Dallas
Pewter at New Orleans in Color Rush
white vs. GB and ATL
Red for hopefully the rest of the home games unless they randomly wear white here and there like last season. The difference though is that they lost in WAH in the playoffs this time around. We’ll see.

Okay, yeah, I just recalled what you said prior to checking back here. I must've mistook the 2018 game for the Jaguars vs Cowboys preseason game in 2021. We'll get to see the Cowboys navy. But it's against teams we know that they're guaranteed to see them against; Washington and the Rams.
Jacksonville goes into their teal sooner ever since it made its in the teams uniform rotation, whether it's a night game or a 1 PM game, so there's only 1 WAH game a year in some instances. So I think they might wear teal for the Texans in week 5. Most likely they'll wear the all white against the Colts in week 2. If the Jaguars decide to be one of those team, who purposely wears white to force Dallas in their navy blue, they'll wear white tops over teal pants. If not, then the 2006 game and a preseason game in 2002 are the only times we saw Jacksonville in white and the Cowboys in blue.
We've seen the Cowboys wear the navy blue 3 straight times against the Chargers. Tennessee wore the white tops with columbia blue pants against Washington when it was in December in 2018. You think they couldn't do the same against Dallas?
That 2018 Titans game vs. Washington seemed to be a one-time thing. I don't see them wearing white over navy in primetime in January (and yes, I say over navy because they refuse to wear all white at home or white over columbia blue at all anymore).
I would say there is a shot we see navy in Week 3 when the Cowboys visit the Giants on Monday night. This happened in 2019 when the Giants wore white Color Rush. At the Rams in Week 5 I am not so sure. I think this could be a blue jersey game for the Rams. Lastly, at Washington wouldn't be til the final week of the season. I think that could go either way.

Cowboys schedule is disappointing. We won't get to see the navy blue jersey as much this year. I wish the schedule makers put the JAX or TEN game early. Maybe the fact that DAL/TEN is good prevents that. We saw the Jaguars teal vs Cowboys white already in 2018. I hope one of them still does WAH for DAL regardless of the instance.
We’ve seen them wear navy the last two times vs. Tennessee. I want to see navy over Columbia for that one. And in 2018, the Jags went black over teal in Dallas. I hope for regular teal over white this time, or if they do somehow opt to wear white, over teal pants.

Why does the league love depriving us of Packers in white vs. Buccaneers in red? Week 3 meeting almost guarantees the Bucs will again be in white at home.

I'm predicting the Chargers to wear yellow pants for the Chiefs game in week 2 which was announced. LAC will probably have their home opener in week 1, and will go all white for that.
I agree. They’ve had more success against KC in the yellow pants than white pants. Something tells me they’re gonna open at home against Jacksonville or Miami.

So for these international matchups, we have:
Vikings at Saints I'm hopeful the Saints will finally wear black for this matchup for the first time since the '09 NFCCG, but they seem to love wearing white against this team for some reason. They even did it again after the 2019 playoff loss. I view this as a possible Color Rush game for New Orleans, which they seem to save for national TV games.
Giants at Packers These teams have had some memorable Frozen Tundra battles over the years. '07 NFCCG, 2016 divisional game with the Cobb Hail Mary. I don't like when less common matchups get moved to London. Would've loved to see a more modernized visual version of this matchup at Lambeau. Disappointing.
Broncos at Jaguars Would've liked to see the Jags wear teal vs. Denver since we missed out on that last year. Now it will likely be all-black again in London, like they wore vs. Denver in 2016.
Seahawks at Buccaneers Another pretty rare meeting that I would've preferred to see at Raymond James as long as Tampa wears red, which I assume they will here.
49ers at Cardinals - Seen plenty of times. Who cares?
For the sake of rare trips to opponent stadiums/rare uniform pairings, I wish more division games were played overseas. Or these new 17th game opponents are also a good option. Titans played at Lambeau in 2020. Chiefs played at Tampa twice in 2020. How bout put these matchups overseas this time around. I guess these are considered 'marquee' matchups that need to remain in the states for prime time.

Can anyone clarify that the additional helmet can only be used the allotted amount of times that alternate jerseys follow? I really don't want to see teams like the Eagles wearing black helmets with the white jerseys for instance.
-
I got very angry until I realized it's April Fools Day. The sad reality is that we have reached a point where pretty much any team adding an all-black alternate is 100% believable.

So the NFL has recently posted asking who has the best uniform in the league, and numerous teams have replied with a pic of their alternate/throwback/Color Rush uniform. So strange that no one seems to like their standard uniforms.

Here's a list of teams that I think should add a second helmet that isn't for a throwback:
(End of list)
I don't understand how the same league that still insists on having the Lions play every Thanksgiving, among other odd traditions, now wants teams to veer away from traditional looks and is encouraging these pajama-esque uniforms. The thought of teams adding a colored helmet to match an all-white/all-black, or all-any color uniform that isn't already inexistence is nauseating.

The creamsicle is obviously better than pewter alternate. With how little the team wears red as it is, they really gotta either stop wearing white as much or phase out the Color Rush set (which isn’t a good uniform anyway)

This post from the official team Twitter page confirms that burgundy over white is a possibility! Hopefully white over burgundy is too...

NFL teams need to stop going "what can we change about our uniforms that will make us hip with the youths!"
Seems like the #1 following thought is always " We NEED an all-black alternate even if it looks terrible and makes no sense whatsoever!"

I think we have enough teams wearing Washington's shade of yellow pants fairly regularly (Packers, Steelers, both L.A. teams) that they'd be superfluous within the league as a whole.
-
Praying we at least see these combos. They're a bit less offensive.

These can't be real, right?
"The black number outline and stripe on the sleeve paved the way for the black alternate jersey."
At least this team admitted it added black trim as an excuse for a terrible black alternate (unlike the Jets)

It seems like 90% of uniform unveils these days feature a monochrome home uniform, a monochrome pajama white uniform, and an all-black alternate (even when black isn't even part of the color scheme).
Are they even leaving open the possibility of mixing and matching? Doesn't seem like it. No more white over burgundy? Ridiculous.

It's all fun and games until we realize half the teams that utilize another helmet will do it for some monochromatic, Color Rush style Arena League look rather than a classic Throwback.

The Color Rush look hasn’t been worn for a home game since the redesign. Only at Dallas in 2020. I don’t think it would suddenly appear for three home games in one season. Maybe one though.
