  1. Yeah, this isn’t making much sense. They get to choose against Denver in orange, but HAVE to wear white against the Chargers in powder blue, which is an even lighter color? We’ve even seen them wear navy against the Chargers in powder that one Thanksgiving game.

It seems that Detroit’s gray Color Rush is treated similarly. We’ve seen teams wear both white and colored jerseys against it on multiple occasions.

  2. Panthers are looking good in their original blue combo with the silver pants and black socks. Not sure why they’ve had to ruin it with white pants and blue and white socks lately.

I don’t mind these Commanders uniforms design-wise. They’re still not overly good, but they’re interesting enough and ultimately the correct colors I guess, but the plain white from the waist down is rough. I think the lack of stripes bothers me even more than the lack of burgundy socks.

I like the idea of having it say TBD before it's confirmed, but I think you should still have the full predicted uniform under the TBD instead of having plain white pants.

Exactly. Most of the fun of this thread during the season comes from us all sharing our predictions and what we agree with and disagree with or what would look the best for given matchups. I don’t think most people on here go back and look at what was actually worn. It’s hard to even find a specific week as the page count increases.

Why is it necessary for these teams to post a uniform schedule in early August?  I would never bother to go back and check, but I'd be pretty surprised to find out there wasn't usually a change or two that was forced.

    Seems pointless.

Most of the time they hold up during the season. The issue is when teams like the Falcons with no common sense make blatant errors that were never accurate to begin with.

one could infer from these that the bills throwback games will be home vs Miami & @ the lions on thanksgiving but if I remember correctly, they did these last year and had the throwback game vs New England & that wasn’t the case so take it with a grain of salt

That shirt also has the old Lions logo on it. Could likely mean nothing.

Another random observation is Atlanta will be in white for every road game. That’s super rare considering the Saints and Bucs are in their division. Atlanta also wore white at home once the last two seasons but won’t this year.

Their schedule actually has them in black at Carolina, which makes no sense whatsoever. Gonna say that one is white and the other two are supposed to be black. Unless the Bucs for some reason are wearing red in Week 5 (which would be awesome but I don’t buy it)

These just keep on coming. Love it. Clearly some errors with this one though. They get less an less believable as you read on:

White at LAR who's in bone in Week 2

White at Tampa in Week 5

Black at Carolina who is already wearing all-black

I do like the gradient against Chicago. Way better contrast than this:

If we're talking about uniform matchups that haven't happened, the Dolphins have yet to play the Patriots wearing aqua over white in their 2013/2018 set. We've seen the Dolphins wear the aqua over white throwbacks and aqua over aqua on multiple occasions against New England in that timespan, but never aqua over white.

I was thinking more just jersey colors, but this is also an interesting observation. This year, opening day will likely be the first time they've worn white on white with the 2018 set vs. the Pats. It's been throwback every time. Even 2019 was white throwback.

  9. Vikings white vs. Saints black is another one of these color matchups that can't ever seem to happen anymore. The last 9 matchups have featured the Vikings in purple and the Saints in white. You have to go all the way back to this day for the last time the Saints wore black against Minnesota:

Other matchups like this that never happen anymore that come to mind include:

Dolphins white vs. Bengals black (2012)

Chiefs white vs. Bengals black (2009)

Bengals white vs. Jets green (2010)

Texans white vs. Chargers in any shade of blue (2007)

The Bengals haven't worn black jerseys against KC since 2009. They really love the awful color matchup I guess. At least they did it with black pants last year, that wasn't as bad.

Hopefully the Chiefs go white pants this time around. They did that in that 2009 matchup when the Bengals last wore black. You have to go back all the way to 2003 for the last time the Chiefs wore white on red against the Bengals in black on white. Never happened with the previous Bengals set.

Not sure this has been discussed yet. We knew they'd be in red for the Eagles game, but they are also wearing Color Rush vs. the Browns again, as they did in 2018. White-out game in Week 1 as always, vs. Indy.

This team can't ever seem to pick good opponents for its alternate jersey games. It would be nice to see Color Rush or Battle Red against the Titans or Jaguars for a change, or at least some fresh teams.

I love that these "concepts" are just re-colorizations of the same, crappy logo they've used forever. Any chance they fix the screaming, glaring issue they've had for decades? That the helmet doesn't include any of their secondary color (gold), but DOES include a color not seen anywhere else in the uniform (black)?

There is a team in Santa Clara that has basically the same issue.

I know the Jaguars are as forgettable a franchise as they come but it’s baffling to me that those uniforms are five years old already. I have no memories of them besides Minshew Mania and that one Cowboys game they wore black over teal and it looked gorgeous.

That's a good point. They were pretty bad the whole time they had these current unis. At least the 2013-2017 set gave us the memory of them going to the AFC championship. If it weren't for some highly controversial Tom-Brady's team-is-playing calls in that game, they very well could've won the Super Bowl in that set. Who knows if they would've stuck to that look or at least kept some elements rather than completely oversimplifying things in 2018.

I just wanna know who within the Jaguars organization thought it was a good idea for the team to wear black pants, socks, and a jersey that lacks any vibrancy against a black centric team.

There is absolutely no reason they couldn’t have worn teal pants.

This game is aesthetically boring and dreary to watch.

Unfortunately, that has been the team’s go-to look on the road, with the teal pants typically only being worn once per season on the road with the white jersey. The all-white has usually appeared once or twice, but that looks is just incredibly plain and boring. They need a more interesting rebrand after this season.

I usually would rather see the Bucs in red, but the white jersey dominance really doesn’t bother me for several reasons. First off the current set isn’t as strong as their original pirate flag set, and I actually think the white jersey is a stronger look for them. The differences between the original Super Bowl set and the Brady Super Bowl set are subtle, but enough to make the white jersey the stronger option imo.

The other reason is because the Bucs have been wearing white at home FOREVER. They’ve sort of been the defacto Dolphins (some years even closer to defacto Cowboys), and usually only wear red for the second half of the season anyway. They’re just a super forgettable franchise most of the time so most non Bucs fans never really paid attention.

I think what bugs me more about the Bucs doing it is that the color scheme becomes so much more pewter-heavy, whereas when a team like the Dolphins does it, they still feel like an aqua team. The numbers, the socks, etc. are still all aqua. The Bucs have a nice color scheme that works better with the red jersey.
