  1. This is disappointing if true. Hopefully the Giants made a mistake, as several teams have in the past with these things. The Broncos last year said they'd be in white at Dallas on theirs before releasing an "updated" uniform schedule.

On a side note, I'm really happy to see they won't be in blue at Tennessee like in 2014, probably thanks to the late afternoon kickoff. The Titans seem to only do white at home for 1pm games, which is nice.

I mean, you can go back to their inaugural season where they didn’t wear black until after wearing white ten times. Last season was the first time they wore black at home during a day game before week 7 (week 6 vs the vikings). They’ve always done this.

I also found that they definitely used to wear their alt blues the normal two times per year despite using it in the preseason also. Idk what’s going on now.

They wore black in Week 5 vs. the Eagles last year too.

  3. Most NFL teams DO wear colored jerseys for a majority of the season, which is why the ratio becomes so skewed and frustrating for teams like the Bucs and Panthers. We see their white jerseys for most road games as it is, leading to white being worn 12-13 out of 17 games. So even if you're one of these "Their white look is better anyway" people, that doesn't mean the colored look isn't solid enough that it's worth seeing for more than 15-20% of the season.

And yes, darker colors absorb more heat. No one is denying that scientific fact. All we're saying is perhaps these teams can be more reasonable with at what point in the season they decide to make the slightly inconvenient sacrifice to please the fans and wear their colors. The Bucs wearing white at home in January is  a joke, whether you like that look or not. The Panthers wearing white at home for late afternoon games in October when it will be dark by the 4th quarter is questionable. If you read any social media comments sections from a team who posts a uniform schedule like this, they are loaded with complaints from top to bottom. I'm not quite sure how these meetings go. "Hey, the fans really love this uniform, so how about we wear it as little as possible? Sound good?"

Yes.  Most teams don't wear alternates in the preseason.  I do know the Panthers have done it occasionally and it always counts toward the three games.

The Jaguars seem to have a different set of rules. When teal was the alternate, they had no issues wearing it twice in the preseason and three more times in the regular season.

Panthers really looking my Miami Dolphins with the uni schedule, however is in charge of uniforms there should be fired. i even think the dolphins are gonna wear aqua more time the panthers will wear colored jerseys. IMO the fins pull out the aquas W2, W4, W7, W10, W12, W16, W18

I think Week 10 might be a white game but hopefully Week 12 is in fact aqua, unlike last season.

The thing with the cowboys, as dumb as some may think it is, is that teams want to intentionally wear WAH to force the cowboys into navy so we end up seeing navy 3-5 times a year. Teams like the saints, jets, rams, giants, and even Washington  wear WAH against the cowboys on purpose so we get to see the navy jerseys a lot but nobody would intentionally wear white at home for a team like the panthers or bucs to force them into wearing red or black (or blue for the panthers) unless they’re playing each other or another WAH obsessed team like the dolphins. (Yes the Bucs and dolphins have an excuse for the first few months but not until week 17 like the Bucs are doing)

All good points. Maybe the Panthers are giving the Bucs a taste of their own medicine and forcing them into their dark color for that Week 7 game. The Week 5 game vs. San Fran is what really baffles me. Last year the Panthers wore black in Week 5 for a 1pm game against Philly.

  7. Enough with the heat excuses. This team stopped wearing white by early October the past few seasons and survived. That is what is most bothersome about it to me. Why do they suddenly decide to do things differently? I guess maybe new organization members are in charge of the decision this season or something, but either way, would it kill them to wear light blue for a 4:25 kickoff in October rather than white to break up a 9 game stretch? I mean even the Cowboys don't usually go that many games without their color jersey appearing a couple of times.

So blues are twice because of the blackout alternate, and one of them is in the preseason. And why is Tampa wearing white at home in week 17. At least we’ll see them in red at Carolina because the panthers are obsessed with WAH as well.

I was thinking the same thing. And I thought we'd see blue or black for the Week 4 late afternoon game against Arizona onward. First 9 games in white is embarrassing.

Unbelievable. I thought they'd stop wearing white at home by Week 4 or 5. This is the longest they've worn it in years. First NINE games will be in white. Pathetic.

Light blue only once and in Week 17 at Tampa? Why are the Bucs obsessed with white? Why do the Panthers suddenly refuse to wear blue at home?

I mean at least we get to see the Bucs in red at Carolina in Week 7, but other than that, this schedule is simply terrible.

    You don't like this look?

It's one of my favorites from their new set.

I agree the blue pants work for LA, particularly because not enough teams wear blue pants on the road. The Bills and Lions occasionally do. However, this is clearly the better version of the look for the Rams:

Everyone complains about teams going all-in on black or white, but then one team is courageous enough to choose a different color for its road uniform and you all pitch a fit.

Can't have it both ways, friends.

I think the idea is we want to see uniform elements that aren't all the same color and instead have some contrast. Black and white are just the most common.

"Honored to look like a dozen other teams using BFBS. The definition of swaggy." 🥴🥴

Can’t wait to see which Eagles player uses a similar blurb next week about how special this look is and how it will make them play better.

  13. Those bone games feel so forced and pointless. Everyone knew they’d wear white for the opener, but then they immediately throw these two bone jersey games in there as though they just wanted to get them over with, even though no one even wants to see them.

Blue week 9 at Tampa Bay? I mean come on, at this point the Bucs should just make white at home permanent like the Cowboys and get it over with.

And for a 4:25 game after losing to the Rams in white in the playoffs. So strange. They do have lots of primetime games at home though, so hopefully that is the last time they go white at home.

Wasn't it reported that the league considers any "alternate jersey" game to be one where either the alt jersey or alt helmet is being used? So the stupid all-black Color Rush will eat into the three blue jersey games and not any of the normal black jersey games.

Last year the team didn't even use all three blue jersey games. And they didn't even wear blue at home. I don't think they're as concerned as us fans are.

So is this confirmation that the Panthers have made the blue jerseys the primaries after 27 years of the blacks? This seems like something they would've mentioned.

Side note: Say what you will about the Dolphins' current logo, but it's the best logo they've ever had and it's not particularly close.

Agreed. Not sure why everyone wants a severely outdated logo. Sure, the jersey aesthetics are more interesting, and a meaner Dolphin with a helmet is cool, but they need a more modern logo to go with the look. And they need to make some aqua pants to go with the throwbacks.

Apologies for not being on top of this thread, but do we know if any more alt helmets are planned for this season or have all of them been announced now?

    Vikings yellow helmet

    Dolphins orange helmet

    Ravens gold helmet

Steelers blue helmet (to match the blue diamond on their logo)

    Rams bone helmet

    Bears orange helmet

Oh, wait, that last one actually happened. My goodness.

  18. Yeah, this is quite bizarre of the Bengals and pretty much sums up the measures teams are willing to take for this type of nonsense. What franchise rebrands and then brings back a uniform from two years ago? Unheard of.

And on a side note, against the Dolphins again? Why can't this team ever seem to wear black against Miami? No team in the league wears white against the Dolphins as much as the Bengals have in recent years. This was also a Week 4 Thursday night matchup in 2016:
