Who could've seen this coming?

Why? It’s their best non-throwback look! Yes, it’s color versus color, but tons of contrast. This game will look oodles better than one would reasonably expect from a Falcons-Titans game.
White over black would’ve looked perfectly fine for this matchup. It’s just not necessary for them to wear black jerseys, unless this Oiler blue is somehow way lighter than we thought.

They’re wearing navy this Sunday and again at home Week 17 against the Lions.

Atlanta will go five straight games without wearing white. I find it quite odd that they seemingly went out of their way to request to wear black for this game.
Since this wasn't a mistake, it turns out that Week 13 is confirmed to be a Jets green jersey game.

Falcons confirmed black over white for their game against the Tennessee Oilers. Why?
Why is there a random color vs. color matchup every couple of years that makes no sense at all? Teams have worn light blue jerseys before and the road team always wears white. This is gonna look strange. I'm surprised the Titans are even okay with this.

They really need to try orange socks with this look. They've only used orange socks at home since this rebrand.
They wore orange socks with this look last year on Halloween night in Cleveland.

Good news: teal pants against a black team
Bad news: also teal socks
Why is this so hard?

White socks! Tampa confirmed pewter pants.

I feel like tonight would’ve made way more sense for Minnesota’s throwbacks than a random opening day 1pm game, but I still don’t hate what I’m seeing. The Vikings use this combo very sparingly, so it’s tolerable to see once per season as they generally do.

If it were up to me, the Eagles uniforms would be:
Midnight green/white/black at home
White/midnight green/black on the road
Kelly green for two games per season, maybe mixed in at Dallas for a third time some seasons
That's it. No black jerseys or pants, no mixing and matching of any kind. The midnight green is unique and perfectly fine.
All that hype and excitement from last night would not be a thing if kelly became the primary. This is how a lot of these owners/front offices feel, but people don't get it and will continue to beg teams to scrap their current uniforms.

Pats look great aside from the few players who are wearing white socks, which looks so embarrassingly terrible.

The Lions love to suck when they wear this beautiful combo. Now it will be deemed bad luck and probably won’t be worn again this season.

New England is going to get absolutely annihilated while wearing silver pants, chalk it up to bad luck and superstition instead of just being a
team, and never wear them again.
They did exactly that last year when the Bears beat them. I think we may see them again next week in Miami regardless of the outcome today.

If only it was paired against something other than the boring Bills all-whites.

I was honestly looking at the Bucs remaining home schedole on Gridiron Uniform Database and out of the rest of the home games we have Tennessee, Carolina, Jacksonville, and New Orleans.
- Carolina has already announced the blue jersey for the game in Tampa, so thats another white at home.
- The pewter alts are likely to still be worn once. I suspect it might be against Jacksonville or Tennessee as the pewter alts haven't been used in divisional games yet.
- Just my feelings, but seeing the Bucs and Jags go red v teal on Christmas Eve would be interesting, but unlikely.
- Bucs might go red against New Orleans so the Saints bring out their white Color Rush
The Bucs actually wore pewter against Atlanta in the 2020 season finale:
The same uniform matchup of the past three seasons has been confirmed for this week though (black/white against white/white). I really want to see it with Tampa Bay in red. 0 for 4 with that since these teams each changed uniforms in 2020.

At least the Titans and Commies use, you know, actual colors. The Saints need a rebrand, yesterday.
I wouldn’t consider Titans navy an actual color. It’s pretty much as dull as black. I also think the Saints look okay from the waist up. Their helmets and jerseys are both fine, but below the waist has certainly been a mess.

That was 8 years ago, and the chargers have new uniforms, and these are different throwbacks. It’s not like the dolphins wearing throwbacks against the patriots every year.
That's a good point, but it's still not ideal.
-
Again? They wore throwbacks against the Chargers in 2015. Would’ve been a nice-looking matchup. Could’ve picked the Rams game two weeks earlier since they’ve worn regular green against them three times in the last two seasons, but of course not.

We still have not seen any of these white jersey/color pants combos this season:
WAS white/burgundy
PHI white/green
NYJ white/green
BUF white/blue
DET white/blue
JAC white/teal
CLE white/orange
LAR white/yellow
TEN white/light blue
NO white/gold
LAC white/yellow

What a pleasant surprise from Seattle! Finally something other than all-white against all-navy.

This game is gonna be HIDEOUS, much like the Ravens game in New Orleans last season. Would've been the perfect time for white over teal to make it's season debut.

Navy blue and white is the most boring color combo in sports. It works for teams like the Yankees that have been wearing it forever, but not anyone else.
Yup, this uniform is boring. Removing the silver helmet was a terrible idea. Now there is only silver on the pant stripe.

Was thinking the Vikings may break out the Throwbacks for MNF but I think they'll wait for the Bears (this surely gets flexed) or Packers (this might be too) games to do that.
I think it might be Color Rush, assuming that is still in the rotation. It’s unclear what their plan is with alternates for the remainder of the season.

Fun fact: This is the first time since 2009 that the Cowboys are wearing white vs. the Chargers. Yes, you read that right.

This doesn’t necessarily mean he makes the decisions. Might just be reporting it. Either way, this team does a terrible job.
