2013 C-USA ring, interesting top design with name written across.

I think I will order this one, just to see what they look like up close. Supposedly you can have it customized and delivered free of charge to USA in about 10 days.

It took all but a week for Chines replica rings to come out. I am assuming these are done by 3D printers and then stones put in, not bad, especially since you can put any name on the shank.

Hey Mike I saw your last blog posting about Dallas NBA ring, it's more the reason that teams should just let fans purchase toned down versions of their championship rings. It used to be only players got rings, now pretty much everyone and their grand mother can get a ring.

I am impressed by Tiffany’s fan championship rings.

Both Seahawks SB fan ring and LA Kings fan rings are toned down but nearly identical to players ring.

The fan championship rings that Jostens offers look nothing similar to player’s rings, however Tiffany has done a terrific job producing fan rings. The only drawback is that they will not personalize the rings with a name, although you can ask for name engraving inside the ring.

The Seahawks fan ring is 26 mm wide which is same size as player’s rings.

The Kings rings are extremely close to the actual player’s rings also, however I am not sure if they are the same size as players rings are listed at 32 MM wide but fan ring dimensions are not given.

Masters of Design had done a great job having made 4 unique rings so far, however it seems like Herff Jones just decided to go with their one and only generic design which was also used for both Colts SB ring and Colts AFC Championship ring.

Teams routinely make various levels of staff rings for employees.

I heard spurs made 4 rings, staff I, staff II, Staff III and Friends and Family rings.

Miami Heat had Players rings and 6 different levels of staff rings, although they all looked the same and only differed in size, weight and material they were made of. Spurs have decided to pick different looking rings altogether.

I sure hope this is the last championship ring that Herff Jones ever gets to make.

It is so disappointing that a company would take so little pride in their work, especially when their work is design and creativity.

At first I thought it is Spurs to blame, don't appear anyone in that franchise would be interested in designing a piece of jewelry. Then again it was not their fault at all, they shelled out good money for rings, each ring is over 80 grams of 14K gold and over 5 carats of diamond. Although nothing close to the colossal 135 grams and 11 carats of diamonds that the 2013t Heat ring was, still it is a ring with very respectable amount of gold and diamond, even much bigger than most super bowl rings.

In case you can not recall, this ring is almost identical to the Spurs 2003 ring made by Masters of Design which is now owned by Herff Jones, it is also the same design of the Colts 2006 SB ring by Herff Jones.

For some reason Spurs decided to go with Herff Jones for their 5th championship ring, giving them an opportunity to come up with a new design, yet they just copy the most basic of generic designs, this to me is just flat out insulting. I cant imagine that if Spurs were presented with at least few different designs they would have picked this design again. Jostens and Tiffany undoubtedly would have created a much better ring/

Although I think Tiffany championship rings are too small but your have to give them credit for creating new designs and their rings definitely don't look identical. TB super bowl ring, Saints SB ring, 2 Giants rings and Sea Chickens rings are all unique designs. Jostens also has bee producing some great rings.

I think they should have total carat of diamonds and total grams of gold on SB rings. Number of different diamonds or the cut of diamonds are rather useless technical information for average fan. By comparing weight and total carat can have better comparison idea.

Congrats Geoff, That is a sharp looking ring, it seems it's large and heavy, just a way a championship ring should be.

Going to try to stop by BH Tiffany, they have the ring on display this weekend. Going to try to find out how much it weighs!?

If Tiffany is going to be making championship rings they need to do a better PR job promoting their work.

Unlike Jostens that puts out a news bulletin detailing the rings, Tiffany does a very poor job.

Only piece of information is that top of the ring is 32 MM wide and there are 132 diamonds. No mention of what kind of gold, how many grams and how many carats of diamond. From what I see, ring is slightly larger than the NYG 2011 ring which was 30 MM round ring and weighed 92 grams of 14 K gold.

If this ring is 32 MM wide, then top to bottom of the tip should be about 37-38 MM, that would be very impressive as it would make it about the same size of the Pats 2004 and Ravens 2012 rings.

I found a couple of pics of shanks but looking for better ones before i post them.

I am really baffled by the design, they look like cuff links not championship rings.

Either this week or next week LA Kings will be receiving their Stanley Cup rings. Based on history should be another Tiffany ring, nothing close to gorgeous 90+ grams diamond studed rings made by Jostens.

San Antonio Spurs will receive their NBA rings on 10/28. Although recent NBA championship rings by Jostens have been breaking all kind of championship rings records, we should not expect it from San Antonio. So far all their rings have been about 55-65 grams of 14K made by Master's of Design. Although I don't know who will be making the new rings, I highly doubt they will be anywhere near the size of the recent Lakers, Dallas Mavericks or Miami Heat rings. 2013 Miami Heat ring is the largest Championship ring ever made at 135 grams of 14K white gold along with close to 11 carat of diamonds and black onyx. Even the heaviest SB rings appears to be under 105 grams, so 135 grams of 14K gold is just unbelievable. Recent Stanley Cup rings are 90-95 grams of 14K gold. Largest WS ring is still the 2003 Marlins ring at just under 115 grams of 14K gold.

Hey Mike, here is a link to the official Ravens web site comparing their rings to Seattle. The writer states she thinks their ring is bigger but she really can't tell since there are no side by side pics. Maybe you can help her out and email her a pic you posted here of the two rings next together.

I don't know of anyone else but Reeves that has been to SB with 3 different teams, all the other guys we see with multiple rings are with 2 teams, that is a very remarkable. I can't imagine the pain of losing SB 4 times as a head coach, the irony of it is he loses 3 with Denver and then as head coach of Atlanta loses to of all teams to Denver! Wow!

Hey Mike can you clarify weight of Patriots rings for me please.

Patriots 2001 ring is 72 grams, 2003 is 100 grams? and how much does the 2003 ring weigh? you had not mentioned it on your recent blog post.

Jostens lists is at 115 grams but I think you told me the ones you came across are more around 105 grams.

It would have been befitting if the Yankees had presented a DJ with a ring like the ones Red Sox presented to Ortiz this year.

Top would have New York Yankees and the logo on blue stone. Shanks would have his full name and bust along with SS 2. Other shank would have the years and 5 world series years. Since NYY WS rings are all by Balfour and around 50 grams, a 100 grams ring would have been really cool.

I thinks the shanks on the new NFL HOF rings are done really well.

I think it's great that they upgraded the Hall of Fame rings. Those rings are now really befitting of the honor they represent. And I agree with you once again, dralec, those rings look really nice and well designed.

I wonder if the guys from past years would be able to get this new ring? You know, get an upgrade?

I agree karl, I really like the new HOF rings, I was thinking the same thing, I wonder if they can upgrade to the new ring.

I thinks this is the third version of the ring and the best looking one by far. I don't know if I ever noticed before if palyes wore thier rings, but with the new ring I have aleray seen Cris Carter, Sapp, Marshall Falk and few other players wearing them.

There are guys that have rings from 2 teams, but I dont know of anyone else asides from Reevess who has been to SB with 3 differnt teams.

Hey guys, has anyone heard about the LA Kings Stanley Cup rings?? Is Tiffany doing it again? Any info out there?

You'd think as a Kings fan I'd know these things, but I haven't seen anything out here in SoCal. Might have missed something I guess.

I have not seen any official news yet, but last time it was in mid January that Kings got their rings.

I am pretty sure it will be Tiffany's again as AEG which owns Kings has a long standing history with TIffany's as they have produced not only Kings rings but Galaxy's last MLS cup rings also. Hopefully Tiffanys will have larger and better looking rings that last ones. Jostens has been producing really nice Stanley Cup rings, maybe Tiffanys will step it up this time around.

Anyone seen the article on the UCONN men's bball rings? How extremely disappointing. Those are some of the most boring bland rings I've seen. I still can't figure out how to post pics so just google it, but compared to their '11 rings these are very underwhelming.

That is not the ring. That is NCAA issued championship ring. Schools will make its own version of the ring and hand it out in October.

NCAA gives all Final Four teams standard issued championship rings, just like the BCS, schools then also makes their own versions of Final Four rings too.
