More insanity...from the summer Northwoods league. And yes...it's Brandiose.

Nice update by Wisconsin. I've thought for a few years already they were due for a refresh. Now if only Beloit would do the same.

Why are they still fighting it?
Their solution was to try to have it both ways...hence the navy/yellow BiG set. I don't know why they are so stuck on their current look either. It's not like there is any extra added value from winning a championship in the set. The Brewers would be a prime candidate for a Houston / Toronto fauxback makeover. Those teams did it right and the Brewers certainly have the pieces from past looks to do it as well.

Completely legit. I've ordered from them several times before.

The Suns shared 12 logo concepts that were in consideration for the '92 rebrand. Definitely some wild stuff in there but needless to say they chose correctly.

In another food promo, the Albuquerque Isotopes will become the Green Chile Cheeseburgers for a day... when they play the Fresno Tacos
I really wish someone would make this stupidity stop.

The sunburst unis didn't debut until the regular season. This set was still worn in the preseason.

Another weird Preseason location, this time with the Sonics returning to the Tacoma Dome in 2000.
This obviously qualifies for the players in the wrong uniform thread as well. I totally forgot about this.

IMO, the jerseys look pretty good. I'd like to see a closeup of the hats. This logo certainly does not look hat friendly at all.

And how's this for unpopular...I'll take the 2000-2012 uniforms with GFGS over all of 'em I felt like the gray fit in nicely. The only thing that did not work for me were the ovals behind the numbers.
That's unpopular alright. Holy cow...that is easily the most god awful set in Suns history.

This might just be me speculating, but the team only has a 3 year lease with Osceola County and they just became a Braves affiliate.
Fast forward to 2020 when the Braves open their new spring training ballpark open in Southwest Florida. The Braves say they want an FSL team there so the Fire Frogs could be a short term solution.....but that's just me reading the situation.
Honestly, I think there's a good chance your speculation may be right. Especially with only having that 3 year lease.

I'll expand that a bit. Cowboys should go to navy and silver-green, drop the royal, and make regular silver/silver-blue accent-only.
I'm actually the opposite. I'd keep the silver/green pants and keep royal, matching the road jersey to the current home.

Certainly not one of the better bull logos I've seen.

A franchise in the new independent Southwest League of Professional Baseball has unveiled its identity. The team, which will play in a proposed multi-purpose facility in the Waco, Texas suburb of Bellmead, will be dubbed the Waco BlueCats.
The team's name pays homage to the largest species of North American catfish, a favorite of anglers fishing the Brazos River and Lake Waco. BlueCats beat out four other possible team names: Woolies, Mammoths, Peppers, and Grackles.

Wow...not bad at all.

Good God, these name the team lists just keep getting worse...and using Down East is stupid too. I suppose using something like Kinston Flight wouldn't get enough attention.
-
So I guess Bakersfield and High Desert are ceasing operations after this season. The Carolina league will expand by 2 teams, with one being back in Kinston, and the other TBA.

Fond du Lac Winnebagos -- Could be the native people, could be the RV's. Think of the fun promotions with that one.
Fond du Lac (Fightin') Lutherans -- Hey, it is good enough for Notre Dame.
Fond du Lac Marines -- Largest employer in the city is Mercury Marine (outboard motors for boats)
Fond du Lac Fromages -- Cheese!!!! not just because of the fondue reference, but also because Wisconsin.
I thought of Winnebagos too, but I'm wondering if the PC police would accept it or not. I think it could work well.

I'm trying to think of something that's not a fish name. You've already got the Chinooks in Mequon. But yes, Walleye would be the obvious easy choice.
-
I'm kind of drawing a blank for the name the team contest. They're looking for a name that reflects the city in some way so obviously something to do with a lake or fish would probably be where this is headed.
