Still not certain why EA never added missing White Away Throwback uniforms to Madden starting in the PS3 era. They blazed past PS4 and now the PS5 still doesn't have them (80's Broncos White/80's Seahawks White/80's Oilers White etc.).

So I'm gonna take a wild guess on the missing city sets.
Sacramento - Purple & Black 90's Fauxback
Houston- Red & Yellow Honoring Gilley's
Detroit- Red Another Blue Collar Auto inspired similar to the 18/19/20/21 sets
Indiana- Royal Blue Reggie Miller Fauxback
Orlando- Black Honoring Orlando Nights based on leak
Charlotte- Purple Ric Flair/Jim Crockett Promotion inspired
Minnesota- White Tetris Inspired honoring local art work of Downtown Minneapolis-St. Paul
Utah none . Pulling a 2019-20 Memphis and using a classic as the "City".
Also since we're going be headed into an odd numbered year, does that mean "Earned" editions will be back?
-
Aside from the new All Star logo what about actual uniforms etc? Hopefully the Marlins break out the 1993-02 Teal Uniform to wear for Sunday home games. Also the other 16 teams that don't have City Connect will now have them.

Probably not true.
On the topic of the Cavaliers, what a letdown. I honestly thought they could do a lot with gold coming back, but to go over-simplified is an insult to the many great ideas they could have gone with. Even a thin stripe of gold on the collar/cuffs would have looked awesome.
So Orlando will have the most bland/boring city set this season?
Also since it's going to be an odd numbered year (2023) will there be "Earned" edition uniforms?
-
So will all 30 clubs have "City" editions this year and the clubs that had "City" sets last year will be retained?
I always love guessing on the NBA edition sets so I'll try for MLB.
Atlanta- Navy 70's Hank Aaron Fauxback
Washington- Cream Senators Fauxback

They have throwbacks of many Indians jerseys and eliminated wahoo and replaced it with the C, so they may just write Cleveland on the homes of those throwbacks. They also photoshop classic players on their baseball card. The only issue may be that they are graphic packages of each jersey and not a simple delete text and insert new text. The game has at least a half dozen throwbacks for each team so I don’t think they’ll shortchange Cleveland. Some of the Yankees or tigers throwbacks are hard to discern from their current uniforms
I noticed around The Show 19 Chief Wahoo was missing from the sleeves/caps of the 1989 "Major League" uniforms. Also the 1948 set is missing Chief Wahoo on the sleeves (sorry not sorry I loved the 1940's Chief Wahoo on the sleeves).
The Show has the 1973 Tigers & Yankees uniforms. I personally use those in The Show because they don't have the NIKE swoosh and also the I prefer the Tigers road uniforms pre 1994. Speaking of The Show there are so many missing Road Uniforms/Alternate Uniforms from sets that drive me crazy. I could do a whole post on what's missing but we won't go there. Hopefully this year in 22 they add the missing road uniforms (Baltimore 1995/San Fransisco 1983-93/Chicago 1990-93/Milwaukee 1994-96 Alternate/San Diego 1997-2003 Alternate) in the game.

After seeing the Yellow Packers uniforms I'm wondering if EA made it up or was planned but got scrapped cause I've seen jersey that wasn't wore...
Rams: Gold
49ers: Gold
Buccaneers: Black
Raiders: Silver
Yes Madden 05-12 on the final days of PS2 had those uniforms plus a monochrome Jaguars Teal Top/Pants combination that was never worn.
Sadly for some reason EA doesn't add Away Throwback uniforms for most teams.
Missing Away Throwback uniforms
Buffalo 1990 White
New England 1985 White/w Red Pants
New England 1993-1999 White (also EA has the 93-99 Home in Dark Navy when it should be Royal blue)
New York Jets 1985 White & 1991 White w/Kelly Green Pants
Cincinnati 1970 White & 1988 White
Houston Oilers 1979 White
Jacksonville 1995 White
Denver 1965 White & 1986 White
LA-San Diego 1980 White & 1994 White
New York 1986 White
Washington (for obvious reasons)
Philadelphia 1980 White
Tampa Bay 1979 White & 1992 White/w Creamsicle pants
Atlanta 1980 White & 1991 White
Seattle 1979 White
Phoenix 1992 White w/Dark Red Pants

Well EA did eliminate all previous Washington uniforms. Sadly it looks like previous Cleveland uniforms may not be in The Show going forward.
-
Hopefully MLB 22 The Show will retain Cleveland's previous uniforms. They can always compromise. Just replace the previous name with "Cleveland" on the 1994 Home White/Navy Alternate and 1989 Home White.

Wasn’t the Knicks’ anniversary uniform going to be the city uniform? Or am I misremembering that? Seems like city and classic are one in the same for this year, at least that’s been my assumption (could absolutely be wrong though - it’s hard to keep track of the NBA’s system these days).
That's what I thought but it looks like the Knicks/Celtics/Warriors will also have City editions.
So:
Knicks- Orange ?
Celtics-Green ?
Warriors- Black?

MLB to possibly do City and "Earned" for the playoff teams?

Possible Hint at the Knicks City edition uniforms from this T-shirt. Looks like 70's and 80's inspired logo with black drop-shadow from the 90's and 00's.
So the Knicks will have three white uniforms this season? Association, Classic, and City? Or will the City be Blue and they'll have three Blue uniforms (Icon, Statement, and City)?

76ers making a nice nod to the Spectrum in their set.
From the NBA 2k screenshots earlier looks like Golden State (Black or Navy), Portland (Black Rip City), San Antone (White Fiesta/Hemisphere Arena), New Orleans (White NOLA), Clippers (Black w/90's woodwork) are indeed legit.
So far this week Philadelphia (honoring the Spectrum), Minnesota (Mashup), and Memphis (Mashup and honoring Isaac Hayes again) have been leaked. Can't wait to see what the others are

Sacramento- Red
Houston- Yellow

From the Philadelphia 76ers press release:
I'm starting to believe these uniforms will be called the "City Edition", even though they don't make any reference to their cities.
So basically teams without prior history (Pelicans & Thunder) will do a basic "City" tie in honoring their city. The NBA 2k images a month back someone spotted a white "NOLA" uniform so it looks like the Pelicans will be a White "NOLA" honoring the city nickname.
As for the 76ers I can see them doing a mashup of the 1997-2009 Iverson version mashup with the Liberty Bell.
-
Still interesting to see what Oklahoma City does with their "City/Heritage" edition. Will they do a Seattle fauxback in Thunder colors and say "Thunder" ? Will they bring back one of their previous City editions ? If so the 18-19 Native American one would be fine. Sucks 2k won't add previous City/Earned sets.

Oooohhhh sounds interesting. Maybe some clear side panels to accent the woodwork.
Still sticking with my original "predictions" but no one has answered as if the Celtics/Knicks/Warriors will have "City" editions this year or are the "classic" editions their "City" editions this year.
Also are the Thunder going to do a Seattle Sonics Fauxback but in Thunder colors?
It sucks NBA 2k has fans in the audience in previous City/Earned/Classic Nike jerseys but they aren't in the game. I suppose it's because they're following Football (Soccer) in that kits change every year.
Also are the "Earned" editions only every other year (Odd number years when the Finals take place) ?

City or Heritage Edition ad they are called this year. Still waiting on @Conrad.to confirm if the Celtics/Knicks/Warrios will also have a "City/Heritage" edition or are the "Classic" editions their "City" sets this year?

Too bad 2k won't put back in all the previous City/Earned editions. Only one that's in is the 2017-18 Lakers Black Mamba uniform. Also from the previous screenshots at the Heat game there was last seasons Blue-Pink city edition plus the pink 2019 Earned. One can dream 2k will patch them all in.
Anyway to the Celtics, Knicks, and Warriors will also have a City edition as well as the Heritage editions?
Anyway time to guess and see what colors and themes are for this season.

Bucks fan wearing classic from 17/18 season too. It would be great if 2k add all of nike unis. I know many people complain for lack of them and they've got 100% right.
Unfortunately from this video on Twitter no previous City or Earned uniforms which is sad. Just hoping PS4 version gets this year's city editions.

20 minutes ago, Pyromania1983 said:I don't think so. The Pelicans earned jersey had no side striping and the wordmark was overtop the horizontal stripes on the front. The one in the video, though very faint, has a side panel, and the NOLA is one plain white. Below is the 18-19 earned for reference.
EDIT: pelicanfan beat me right before I posted this lol
Now that I look back at the screenshot, I don't see the Pelican stripes under "NOLA".
Still would be cool if 2k22 gets all previous City & Earned Editions especially on the PS4.

So is Utah going to do what Memphis did in 2019/20 and just use the "Classic" as the "City" edition?
Also no news on "Earned Uniforms" as they only appeared in 2019 and 2021 seasons respectfully. Since the playoffs will be in an odd numbered year you would think the "Earned" sets would come back.
So are clubs going to change up their "Statement" uniforms to be entirely different than the Home and Away (Association and Icon). Remember that back before the NIKE takeover the Alternates (Statement) for the most part mirrored their Home and Away set. So will the Heat come out with a totally different Red "Statement" uniform in a few years that is totally different. I ask because Portland's new red statement doesn't say "Portland" or "Blazers".
