Pretty sure it’s just from someone poking fun at how the team is unveiling the new name on Groundhog Day

To be fair, in the video the first helmet pulled out seemed to have a black facemask. Whether or not that was the case or just shadows playing tricks is yet to be seen. There’s even an all black helmet shown. It’s not like the facemasks on a helmet are exclusive to that one specific helmet. Also, they push the “burgundy & gold” angle pretty hard so why would they remove any trace of gold from one of the uniforms? EDIT: While the presumed home burgundy jersey takes clear inspiration from the recently used throwbacks, the presumed away white jersey could just be an updated modern version of their 1961-68 uniforms

Prediction that holds zero ground or substantial evidence- I still think one of the helmets will feature a black facemask with a wide gold stripe and bold gold “W” logo. Similar to this- It’ll be worn with the white jersey and paired with gold pants to alleviate the blow of a jersey that features black and burgundy with no gold.

This is a super crazy out there idea, but... what if that diamond pattern means absolutely nothing and it’s just faux mesh?

If that logo is accurate and it’s any indication of the word mark, it’s bad enough that we have the Packers and Steelers with stencil font. We don’t need Washington following suit.

Are we not going to talk about the possibility of the team having two monochrome (all burgundy & all white) uniforms without the chance for interchangeability?

Considering they lean heavily into the aspect of honoring the team, why not combine elements of uniforms past into one cohesive identity? Or was that just too difficult of an idea to comprehend? So what better way to say “we love this franchise and it’s fans” more than a completely new uniform built from zero. Don’t get me wrong, I love the burgundy jersey as I’ve stated before, but the white uniform and mind-boggling decision to include a ridiculously out of nowhere black helmet really irks me.

They mentioned it because of how popular the name was among most, but not all, fans. Literally the only reason.

I’m wondering if a gold helmet was ever considered. It’s a shame we’re getting a possible black helmet instead

I’m convinced they have two burgundy helmets. One has a thick gold stripe, big bold W logo and black facemask The other has the asymmetrical thin white-gold “rough” stripe, whatever logo, and gold facemask

I’m probably reaching, but is that a logo reflection on the football/glass case? Also, I wouldn’t put it past the team to do logo on one side and numbers on the other
